NEWTOWN, Pa. (Women’s Volleyball) – The 2023 All-MAC Freedom Women’s Volleyball Team has been announced.
Lebanon Valley senior outside hitter Taylor McInerney was named MAC Freedom Player of the Year. DeSales senior libero Emma Notarfrancesco and Stevens senior middle hitter Meg Dion were named MAC Freedom Co-Defensive Players of the Year.
McInerney dominated the court all season, leading the conference in kills (570) and points (608). Both of these totals led the conference by a large margin. She was second in the conference in hitting percenatage (30%) while also adding 148 digs and 37 blocks on the season.
Emma was a staple of the Bulldog defense, she was second in the conference with 400 digs. Dion made it difficult for every opponent with her conference leading 89 blocks and also added 198 kills on the season
Misericordia's first year outside hitter Cassandra Genduso was named MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year. Genduso was top 10 in the conference in kills with 273 and was third in the conference in points with 340.
Stevens head coach Macon Frey received her first MAC Freedom Coach of the Year accolade. In her first season at the helm of the Ducks she led them to a 20-9 record and they will play in the MAC Freedom Championship this Saturday.
The All-MAC Freedom Women’s Volleyball Team is nominated and voted on by the eight conference women’s volleyball coaches.
