NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending January 12, 2025. A total of 17 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Jan. 6, 2024 to Jan. 12, 2025.
MEN'S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Jackson Mascari (York / Sr., F / Hershey, Pa.) led the Spartans to a pair of big wins to kick off York's MAC Commonwealth campaign. In Wednesday's 22-point win at Alvernia, Mascari had 17 points and 10 rebounds in his 31 minutes of play. Mascari added two assists and a blocked shot as he was 7-for-15 from the floor and 3-for-7 from three. The double-double was his first of the year and the eighth of his Spartan career. In the win over preseason Commonwealth favorite Eastern, Mascari poured in a career-high 23 points as he also grabbed eight rebounds for the Spartans. In addition to his points and rebounds, Mascari also had a season-high five assists and a steal. He was 8-for-15 from the floor including drilling a career-high six three pointers in 11 attempts for York. For the week, Mascari averaged 20 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in the two victories. He shot 50% (15-for-30) from the floor and 50% (9-for-18) from three. For the season, Mascari is averaging 13.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. He is shooting 48.8% from the floor, 40% from three and 60.4% from the free throw line. He has totals 33 assists, 13 steals and nine blocked shots in 13 games for the Green and White.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Chris Patton (King's / Sr., G / Havertown, Pa.) averaged 26.0 points per game, shooting 17-for-30 (56.6%) from the floor, 8-for-13 (61.5%) from three, and 10-for-11 (90.9%) from the free throw line, while adding 17 rebounds (8.5 per game), four assists (2.0 per game), and a steal. He started the week with 24 points on 9-for-15 (60%) shooting, including 4-for-6 (66.6%) from three, with eight rebounds, three assists, and a steal in their 74-57 win at FDU-Florham on Wednesday. Patton then led all scorers in a 63-60 setback to Arcadia on Saturday with 28 points on 8-for-15 (53.3%) shooting, including 4-for-7 (57.1%) from three, with nine rebounds and an assist.

MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Mia Robbins (Widener / Jr., P / Voorhees, N.J.) and the Pride would see a 71-46 win over Hood and a 71-55 win over Stevenson for two conference wins as well. On Wednesday evening, Robbins helped the Pride with 10 points and seven rebounds in her 23 minutes of play. Defensively she would lead the Pride with three blocks and three steals. In 32 minutes on Saturday, Robbins went on to tie her career high 29 points while shooting a perfect 11-of-11 free throws. The Voorhees, N.J. native snagged nine rebounds, blocked a shot, and had three steals. On the week, Robbins shot 43.3% from the field and 92.9% from the charity stripe.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Cristina Fernandez (Lebanon Valley / Sr., G / Oxford, Pa.) did it all while leading the Dutchmen to a 1-1 start to conference play. The guard had 27 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, seven steals, six blocks, and an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.6. The senior began the week with 14 points, four rebounds, five steals, three blocks, and three assists in a 72-60 defeat to Stevens. She then led a big bounceback 69-41 victory at Delaware Valley with 13 points, seven rebounds, five assists, three blocks, and two steals. Fernandez recorded the 100th block of her career in the victory.

MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Harris Blackwood (Lebanon Valley / Sr., LW / Hagerstown, Md.) had five points on three goals and two assists while being a +5 on the ice to lead the Dutchmen to a big weekend sweep of King's. The senior started the weekend with the game-winning goal and an assist for a 5-2 victory on Friday evening in Hershey. Blackwood's second period goal gave the Dutchmen a 3-2 advantage. He then assisted on a power play goal six minutes later to increase the lead to 4-2. Blackwood then scored two goals and added an assist in a 5-3 victory in Pittston on Saturday. The senior scored the first goal of the game 3:11 into the first period and then scored a power play goal early in the third period to push the lead to 5-2.
MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Ford DeLoss (Stevenson / Jr., G / Charleston, S.C.) stood tall in net as the Mustangs played to a pair of victories over Neumann on home ice to start 2025. In Friday's 6-1 win, DeLoss turned away 24 Neumann shots, including all 16 he faced in the second period. In Saturday's 4-2 win, DeLoss added another 31 saves and thwarted a late comeback attempt by the Knights.
WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY (#MAChky)
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Maddie Vaughan (King's / Jr., F / Cranberry Twp., Pa.) made program history as she recorded the first hat trick for King's women's ice hockey with her four goals in the 4-1 win at Hood on Tuesday. She also won 26 face offs, blocked two shots, and totaled 13 shots for the week, scoring on 4-of-7 at Hood while adding 2 in Friday's 3-2 win over Lebanon Valley and four in Saturday's 4-0 setback to the Flying Dutchmen.
MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Lacy Bigelow (Lebanon Valley / So., G / St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador) tied a program record with her fourth shutout of the year in LVC's 4-0 victory at King's on Saturday. The sophomore made a season-high 36 saves to give the Dutchmen a Division III-leading sixth shutout of the year. Bigelow made nine saves in the first period, 10 in the second, and then an outstanding 17 in the third. The sophomore improved to 4-0-0 in four games this year and has yet to allow a goal on 95 shots.
MEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf)
MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Rory Lieberman (Lebanon Valley / So. / Danville, Pa.) won two events with two of the fastest times in the MAC this season on Friday at the Dutchmen Invitational. The sophomore won the 3000 meters in 8:44.99 and the mile in 4:31.34 coming within a second of the facility records in both events. His converted 3000-meter time for track size of 8:42.53 is ranked 24th in the nation, third in the Mid-Atlantic Region, sixth in AARTFC, and the fastest in the MAC by three seconds. The Dutchmen hold the top three and six of the top eight times in the conference this season. His converted mile time for track size of 4:26.35 is second in the MAC and third in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Graison Michajluk (Lebanon Valley / So. / Shippensburg, Pa.) scored 4120 points in the heptathlon to break the facility record of 3747 points and just missed the school record by 11 points. His point total is in the top 25 of the nation this season. He recorded career-best marks in four events and posted one of the best high jumps in the conference this season. He ran a career-best 7.05 seconds in the 55 meters to score 690 points, jumped 5.83 meters (19'1.50") in the long jump to score 550 points, and threw 12.29 meters (40'4") in the shot put to score 624 points. He then had a career-best height of 1.89 meters (6'2.25") in the high jump to score 705 points, ran a career-best 9.13 in the 55 hurdles to score 576 points, vaulted a career-best 3.24 meters (10'7.50") in the pole vault to score 416 points, and ran 3:111.15 in the 1000 meters to score 559 points. His high jump mark is third in the conference and fifth in the Mid-Atlantic Region. His long jump mark is 24th in the conference while his pole vault height is 25th.

MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Coyla Bartholomew (Lebanon Valley / Jr. / Danville, Pa.) won the mile and the 3000 meters at the Dutchmen Invitational on Friday. The junior started the day by winning the 3000 in 10:52.25. Her converted time for track size of 10:45.47 is fourth in the MAC and 13th in the Mid-Atlantic Region. She then won the mile in 5:25.16. Her converted time of 5:24.16 is ranked 42nd in the nation, eighth in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and third in the MAC.
MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Kayla Robinson (Widener / Sr. / Bristol, Conn.) resulted in record breaking fashion. Robinson competed at the St. Thomas Aquinas Invite at Ocean Breeze. The Bristol, Conn. native competed in three events on Friday evening. Robinson's triple jump distance of 11.69-meters would take down a 32-year-old Widener record. She would also run a 9.67 60-meter hurdles race and throw a 12.53-meter shot put. After this weekend of competition, Robinson moved to second in the conference in the 60-meter hurdles and first in the triple jump.
MEN'S SWIMMING (#MACswim)
MAC Swimmer of the Week
Seth Phillips (Widener / Fy. / Houston, Texas) and the Pride rolled this weekend with a 159-34 win over Lebanon Valley. Phillips would capture three first place finished and a second place to cap the weekend. The Houston, Texas native opened the weekend as a part of the winning 200-meter medley relay as the quad clocked a 1:55.21. Phillips first individual event would come in the 200-meter free where he won with a 2:05.50 by four seconds. His second individual win came a few events later in the 100-meter free with a time of 56.62, winning by over a second. The final event would be a second-place finish in the 200-meter freestyle relay where the quad captured a 1:45.68.
WOMEN'S SWIMMING (#MACswim)
MAC Swimmer of the Week
Jordyn Grossman (Lebanon Valley / Sr. / Harleysville, Pa.) won two individual events and one relay in a dual meet with Widener as the Dutchmen competed for the first time since November. The senior won the 50-meter freestyle by over a second as she touched the wall in 28.59 seconds. She then won the 100-meter freestyle by nearly three seconds with a time of 1:06.37. Grossman finished the meet as the anchor on LVC's 200-meter freestyle relay team that edged Widener by under a second with a time of 2:01.00.

MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Koby Sherman (Stevens / Sr., OH / Sunnyvale, Calif.) hit .591 (13-0-22) with two digs and three blocks in a straight set win St. Joseph's-Long Island

Sebastian Huyke (Stevens / Sr., S / led the Ducks with eight digs and 18 assists in a 3-set sweep of St. Joseph's-Long Island.

Harrison Hinojosa (Stevens / Sr. / Haddon Twp., N.J.) went 5-0 at the Budd Whitehill Duals and was named to the All-Tournament Team at 174…Tallied a pinfall in 58 seconds against McDaniel…notched a sudden-victory and claimed 3 points in win over nationally-ranked Nolen Zeigler of Lycoming…Hinojosa provided the first lead change of the match against Springfield, picking up a fall in 2:10 at 174…gained a pinfall victory over Wilkes in 3:59…ended the weekend with a win in 1:55 over Washington & Lee.
