NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending January 19, 2025. A total of 17 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Jan. 12, 2024 to Jan. 19, 2025.
MEN’S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Phanique Dupree (Albright / Jr., F / Asbury Park, N.J.) led the Lions to a 2-0 week with wins over Hood and Stevenson. In the first game of the week, Dupree recorded his 5th double-double of the season going for 12 points and 11 rebounds. In the 78-76 win over Hood, Dupree also added six blocks, maintaining his lead in blocks per game and total blocks in the Commonwealth. The Albright forward set his new career high in points with 23 against Stevenson in the team's 82-63 win over the Mustangs on 9-11 shooting from the floor. Dupree added eight rebounds and four blocks in back-to-back dominant outings. Dupree's two game averages for the week stands at 17.5 PPG, 9.5 RPG, 5.0 BPG and shot 65.9% from the field.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Jack Spellman (Stevens / Sr., F / Westfield, N.J.) averaged 18.5 points, 18.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists as the Ducks went 2-0 to remain perfect in MAC Freedom action. Scored a season-high 23 points and grabbed 21 rebounds as he shot 9-of-13 from the floor in a win over Arcadia Wednesday…Was 6-of-7 from the floor including his first 3-pointer of the season as he scored 14 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a victory over King's Saturday…added 2 assists in each game.

MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Mia Robbins (Widener / Jr., P / Voorhees, N.J.) and the Pride moved to 4-0 in MAC Commonwealth rankings after a 2-0 week. On the road on Wednesday night against Eastern, Robbins would play for 28 minutes and amass 22 points and nine rebounds. The Pride would take home a 67-53 win. Saturday would mark a special day for Robbins as she would join the 1k club with a total 23 points and six rebounds. Defensively she would also poke two balls away for steals. The Pride would see an 81-72 win in OT over Alvernia.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Bianca Sode (FDU-Florham / Fy., F / Kenilworth, N.J.) contributed to a 2-0 week against Delaware Valley and Misericordia with 19 points in each game, totaled 16 rebounds, poked 5 steals, and swatted the ball for four blocks in the week of conference play. She averaged .825% field goal percentage in FDU-Florham's 146-point two-game performance. The first-year currently sits sixth overall in the Middle Atlantic Conference and in the MAC Freedom with 125 rebounds this season.

MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Donnie Feldman (Arcadia / Sr., F / Highland Falls, N.Y.) contributed three points in the Knights two wins this past weekend. Feldman scored one goal in the Knights 2-0 win over Alvernia University. In Arcadia's 4-1 win over Alvernia, Feldman notched one goal and one assist.
MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Diego D’Alessandro (King’s / So., G / Caledon, Ontario) made 85 saves for a .965 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average. He began the week with 20 saves in a 4-0 win over SUNY Morrisville for his first career shutout. On Friday, D'Alessandro made 32 saves in the 2-2 draw before thwarting another 33 shots in the 1-0 setback to Stevenson on Saturday.

MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Carleigh Barwick (Stevenson / So., F / Holly Springs, N.C.) led the Mustangs with five points this past weekend in the home series with King’s. In Friday’s 6-3 victory, Barwick netted Stevenson’s third goal before assisting on Megan Swick’s power-play game-winner. In Saturday’s eventual shootout victory, Barwick contributed two goals and an assist, then found the back of the net again to keep the Mustangs alive in the shootout. She leads the Mustangs with seven goals so far this season.
MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Hannah Bergeron (Arcadia / Sr., G / Leominster, Mass.) earned her 16th career shutout and the sixth shutout this season which is her career season high. In the Knights 4-1 win against Alvernia on Friday, Bergeron earned 37 saves. In Arcadia's 3-0 shutout on Saturday against Alvernia, Bergeron collected 23 saves. Bergeron has a .950 save percentage on the season.

MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Richard Billings (Misericordia / Sr. / Fayetteville, N.C.) was part of two MAC-best times at the Utica Winter Opener. Finished second at 200m with the MAC's best time of the year (22.38). Ran the lead-off leg on the winning 4x400 with the best time in the MAC this season (3:28.84).
MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Aidan Rollinson (York / Jr. / Willow Grove, Pa.) had another big week for the Spartans as they traveled to the Alvernia Winter Invitational on Saturday. Rollinson set a new school record in the weight throw as he registered a best toss of 17.39 to win the event. He broke his own school record. Rollinson also finished 11th in the shot put with a best heave of 12.67 meters. Rollinson owns the best distance in the MAC in the weight throw by 0.73 meters over the next closest athlete.
WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf)
MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Abigail Hunt (Lebanon Valley / Jr. / Millersville, Md.) won the mile at the Moravian Indoor Meet on Saturday with a career-best time of 5:17.65. The junior topped the field of 28 defeating a couple of Division I runners while qualifying for the AARTFC Championships. Her time is the fourth-fastest in the MAC this season, 11th in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and 21st in AARTFC. Hunt's time is also seventh on the program's top 10 list.
MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Katey Shoemaker (King’s / Jr. / Coopersburg, Pa.) won the weight throw at Susquehanna's River Hawk Invitational and posted the best mark in the MAC and third-best in the Mid-Atlantic Region this indoor season with her toss of 14.91 meters.

MAC Swimmer of the Week
Sean Lehan (Widener / Fy. / Harrisburg, Pa.) would help the Pride finish the season with an undefeated conference record with a 180-81 win over Arcadia. Lehan’s three individual wins would show three firsts. In the 200-yard freestyle he would clock in a 1:48.85 to win by four seconds. Lehan’s second event came in the 200-yard butterfly where he captured first with a come from behind out touch with a 2:04.59. In the 500-yard freestyle, the Harrisburg, Pa. native won by over 15 seconds with his 4:50.78. Lehan’s 500 time would lead the conference for the week and move him to second in the conference rankings.

MAC Swimmer of the Week
Cali White (Misericordia / So. / Montgomery, N.Y.) had six wins while leading the Cougars to a 3-0 week. She claimed two individual wins and added a relay win in a tri-meet win over Bryn Mawr and King’s. Won the 200 free (2:03.31), 500 free (5:28.63), 200 free relay (1:42.66). She added two individual wins and a relay win at Ursinus. Won the 50 fly (27.80) and 200 free (2:00.98). Was part of the winning 200 medley relay.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL (#MACvb)
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Alex Kagoro (Messiah / Jr., OH / Irondequoit, N.Y.) started his junior campaign with an impressive 75 kills across three matches to help the Falcons begin the season 3-0. On Friday, Jan. 17, Kagoro hit .375 with 30 kills in five sets while also adding a service ace in the Falcons season opener against Mount Union. In Messiah's first match of day two at the Messiah Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 18, Kagoro collected 27 kills, hitting .315 against Baldwin Wallace with one service ace across four sets. In a sweep against Nazareth in the final match of the day, Kagoro collected 18 kills, hitting .406. Kagoro hit .359 on the weekend with 75 kills.
MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Cameron Birch (Arcadia / Jr., L / Boiling Springs, Pa.) collected 42 digs in the Knight's 2-2 opening week of their season. Birch had 12 digs in a four setter win against Kean University. At the Battle of the Boardwalk, Birch collected eight digs in their sweep against Drew University, 11 against Lasell University and 11 against Rivier University.
WRESTLING (#MACwrestle)
Wrestler of the Week
Keito Shaw (Alvernia / Sr. / Clifton Heights, Pa.) took first place at 125 lbs and helped lead Alvernia to its MAC Championship title on Saturday at the 2025 MAC Championship. Shaw allowed just two points across four bouts. He started his day with a 15-0 technical fall over Misericirodia’s Hayden Best to start his day. He then recorded a 5-0 decision over York’s Jacob Kresicki in the quarterfinal, and secured a trip to the championship bout with a 16-0 technical fall over Messiah’s Bryce Arnold. Shaw took the gold with a 5-2 decision over #12 Malik Asfour in the final.
