AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released the 2024 Academic All-America® Football teams on Tuesday with Lebanon Valley senior Evan Kutzler earning a spot on the First Team.

Kutzler, an Exercise Science major from Souderton, Pennsylvania, becomes the first Dutchmen Football student-athlete to earn Academic All-America honors. Kutzler is a strong student with a 3.92 cumulative undergraduate GPA and a 3.94 graduate GPA at the time of his nomination. On the field, the safety earned First Team All-MAC and Second Team All-Region honors after he finished eighth in the nation with 0.6 interceptions per game. Kutzler picked off six passes for 65 yards including a 35-yard touchdown return against Albright. The free safety had 26 total tackles during the season and four pass breakups.

"This is an amazing accomplishment and very much deserved," Head Coach J.R. Drake stated. "I knew Evan was going to be special from the beginning when I was recruiting him. I made sure to attend every one of his high school playoff games to make sure he came here. I'm so happy he did and was able to cap off his career with an incredible season to earn this outstanding honor."

Kutzler becomes the 34th overall Academic All-America honoree at LVC and the ninth first team selection. This is the second consecutive year the Dutchmen had a student-athlete earn Academic All-America honors after Taylor McInerney was named the Women's Volleyball Team Member of the Year last fall.
