Newtown, Pa. (Women’s Basketball) - The Messiah Falcons were selected as the favorite in the 2025-26 conference preseason poll conducted among the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth (MAC Commonwealth) women’s basketball coaches. The Falcons received five of the first-place votes for 45 points.

Messiah is coming off a season where they posted a boasting 25-3 overall record, finishing a perfect 14-0 in conference play. The Falcons took down Albright College and Widener University in the postseason en route to its 16th conference title in program history. Messiah's historic season would come to an end in the opening round of the NCAA tournament, falling to Washington & Jefferson College.
The 2025-26 season is slated to begin Friday Nov. 7 with conference play starting Wednesday Jan. 7.
The 2026 MAC Freedom Women's Basketball Championship is set for Feb. 25 through Feb. 28. The top-four seeds will battle for the conference title and the NCAA Division III Championship automatic qualifier (AQ).
