MAC Weekly Awards Announcement (April 28, 2025)

20 student-athletes were recognized for performances from April 21– April 27.

NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending April 27, 2025. A total of 20 student-athletes were recognized for performances from April 21, 2025 to April 27, 2025.

BASEBALL (#MACbaseball)
MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week

Zachary Harris (Messiah / P, Fr. / Ellicott City, Md.) had an impressive start for the Falcons on Tuesday afternoon against the Eagles of Mary Washington. Harris pitched seven shutout innings, allowing only three hits and striking out nine batters. Harris also had a no-hitter going through 5 2/3 innings before a single broke up the no-hit bid in the top of the sixth.

MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Evan Wagaman (Messiah / 1B, Sr. / Chambersburg, Pa.) led the Falcons on the week, batting .571 with two home runs, two doubles, 12 RBIs, and four runs scored in the Falcons four games. Wagaman opened the week with a hit and two RBIs in the Falcons 12-2 win over Mary Washington. In game one against Widener, Wagaman tallied three hits, including a home run, five RBIs, and two runs scored in the Falcons 11-7 win. On Saturday against Widener, Wagaman totaled four hits, including a home run, five RBIs, a run scored, and three walks. 

MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week
Frank Parrotti (DeSales / P, Sr. / Glenolden, Pa.) was dominant in a 6-0 win over King's College on Sunday tossing a six-hit complete-game shutout against the Monarchs. He struck out 10 batters and only allowed three baserunners to touch second base over the seven innings.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Jace Fetterman (Lebanon Valley / C, Sr. / Carlisle, Pa.) had a big week for the Dutchmen as he tied the program's career home run record with three home runs during the week. The senior slashed .500/.611/1.214 in a 2-2 week with seven hits, eight RBIs, and eight runs scored. The senior began the week with a 3-for-4 game in a 19-3 victory over Penn State Berks. Fetterman hit a grand slam and had a two-RBI single to give him six RBIs on the game. He scored four times and added a double. The catcher had four hits in three games of LVC's 2-1 series loss to Arcadia with his biggest game coming in the final game of the regular season as he hit two home runs in a 12-2 defeat. His first home run gave the Dutchmen a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. His record-tying homer came in the sixth inning.

MEN’S LACROSSE (#MAClax)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week

Davis Fisher (York / A, Jr. / Arnold, Md.) led the Spartan offense with 13 points in a pair of Commonwealth victories over Hood and Messiah as York locked up the No. 1 seed for the conference postseason tournament. The junior led York with nine assists on the week and established the program's new single-season record as he now has 53 on the season. Fisher also established a new personal-best for points (9) in the win at Messiah with three goals and six assists.

MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Zach Puckett (Eastern / D, Jr. / Media, Pa.) helped the Eagles to a pair of critical MAC Commonwealth wins with another impact week on defense. The junior close defender caused four turnovers and grabbed five ground balls as Eastern beat local rival Widener 16-8. Puckett had four more caused turnovers and had two more ground balls in a 14-8 win over Hood College in the regular-season finale for both teams.

MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Tommy Robertozzi (Stevens / M, Sr. / Plainfield, N.J.) scored nine goals on 10 shots, while adding two caused turnovers and a ground ball in 2-0 week. He scored three times in 25-1 victory over Delaware Valley on Wednesday before tallying a career-high six goals on seven shots in a 21-7 victory over Lebanon Valley on Saturday.

MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Trey Stasse (Misericordia / D, Sr. / Andover, N.J.) had seven ground balls and six caused turnovers in a 1-1 week as the Cougars clinched a postseason berth. He had two ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 9-6 loss at DeSales and then added five ground balls and four caused turnovers in a 19-8 win over FDU-Florham. With that performance he became the school’s career leader in caused turnovers.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE (#MAClax)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Kara Yarusso (Stevenson / M, Gr. / West Deptford, N.J.) led the Mustangs offensively with 12 points on the team's 2-0 week with wins over Widener and Albright. Against Albright, the graduate student put away four goals, while handing out two assists, causing three turnovers, and picking up four draw controls and two ground balls. In the team's regular season finale win over Widener, the midfielder led the squad with five goals and an assist, while dominating on the draw with eight draw controls, and picked up four ground balls.

MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Bella Garabo (York / G, Gr. / Hillsdale, N.J.) came up big for the Spartans in a 16-7 victory over Messiah as York clinched its fourth-straight regular-season Commonwealth title. Garabo racked up 10 saves against the Falcons as she held Messiah to their second-lowest goal total of the season. Garabo began the week with a two-save shutout performance at Hood as she allowed just seven total goals in two appearances. She also has sixth double-digit save performance on the season.

MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Christina DiGuglielmo (DeSales / M, Jr. / Floral Park, N.Y.) had a terrific all-around week leading DeSales to a 2-0 record and helping the Bulldogs clinch the No. 3 seed in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament. She totaled four goals and four assists, adding 20 draw controls in the two games. DiGuglielmo had four goals and one assist to go along with 13 draw controls in the win over Misericordia.  She added three assists and seven draw controls in the win over Arcadia University.

MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Quincy Connell (Stevens / D, Gr. / New Canaan, Conn.) registered nine draw controls, eight ground balls, five caused turnovers, and a goal as the Ducks went 2-0 to claim an unbeaten regular season in the MAC Freedom. Connell tallied three draw controls, four ground balls, and two caused turnovers in a 24-2 victory over Delaware Valley on Wednesday. She then set a season-high with six draw controls, while matching a season-best four ground balls to go along with three caused turnovers. She also scored her third goal of the season in a 15-5 win over Lebanon Valley. She was part of a defensive unit that shutdown LVC's top two offensive threats, holding them to just a goal and an assist.

SOFTBALL (#MACsoftball)
MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week

Kelsey Racine (Alvernia / P, Jr. / Broomall, Pa.) went 3-0 in the circle for Alvernia with a 0.55 ERA over 12 2/3 innings pitched. All three of Racine’s wins came in relief for Alvernia. Racine scattered two hits and struck out three over three innings of work in a win over Elizabethtown on Wednesday. She then pitched 5 2/3 innings in game one against York on Sunday, scattering three more hits and striking out two while allowing just one run. Racine capped off the week with four innings of shutout work against the Spartans in game two, striking out two.

MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Ainsley O'Donnell (Eastern / OF, So. / Moscow, Pa.) reached safely nine times in 13 plate appearances in a 3-1 week for the Eagles. She scored three runs and drove in four with seven hits.
 
MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week
Emily Novicki (King's / P, Sr., / Wapwallopen, Pa.) went 2-1 in the circle this week. The senior pitcher posted a 0.91 ERA in 23 innings pitched, allowing just three earned runs on 20 hits while striking out 28. She opened the week with a 1-0 shutout win over Scranton, pitching the complete game with four hits allowed and 10 strikeouts. Her lone setback came in a 4-1 loss at Wilkes, allowing three earned runs on 10 hits while fanning seven. The senior ended her career in dominant fashion, posting the 10-inning shutout win over DeSales, 2-0, while tying her career high of 11 strikeouts with just six hits scattered throughout the 10 frames. She also added five hits in four games at the plate.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Emily Susanj (Misericordia / C, Sr. / LeRaysville, Pa.) hit .600 (9-for-15) with two doubles and a grand slam and nine RBIs in a 5-1 week to clinch a postseason berth. She hit safely in all five games she played in  with three multi-hit games and had a walk-off grand slam in the sixth inning to complete an 11-1 win over Stevens.

MEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf)
MAC Track Athlete of the Week

John Condon (Messiah / Jr. / Cambridge, Md.) claimed second in an 800m field largely composed of Division II competitors with a time of 1:54.10. He was only bested by a member of the Delaware Track Club.

MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Brayden Ecker (York / Jr. / Frederick, Md.) continued to elevate his game as he cleared 3.95m in the pole vault to finish third out of 25 finishers at the Paul Kaiser Classic. His height established a new personal best and school record. Ecker ranks first in the MAC and the AARTFC this season, while ranking tied for 11th nationally.

WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf)
MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Payton Mann (York / Sr. / Pipersville, Pa.) put together a milestone performance in the 400m hurdles to finish first out of 17 finishers at the Paul Kaiser Classic. She ran a personal-best time of 1:03.85, which lowered her own school record and is the first time she ran under a 1:04.00. Mann is first in the Middle Atlantic Conference this season and 11th in the AARTFC.

MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Victoria Zultevicz (King's / Sr. / Shickshinny, Pa.) broke her own outdoor program record as well as setting a new Monarch Open and Betlzer Complex record of 3.60m in the pole vault to win the event at the King's College Monarch Open. Her mark ranks second in the MAC and 42nd in NCAA Division III. She also placed second in the javelin with a personal-best mark of 27.33 meters.
