YORK, PA – A trio of York College female student-athletes received national academic honors as announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday afternoon.

Zoe Kluegel earned CSC National First-Team Academic All-America honors while field hockey goalie
Belle Fields earned Third-Team Academic All-America recognition for the At-Large teams.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must own a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above and be a significant contributor to their team.
Garabo is now a two-time national academic All-America as she was a second-team selection last year. She is the second Spartan to win the prestigious academic award twice in her career, joining former standout
Jenna Cholowinski who earned the award in 2021 and 2022. Garabo was one of 11 student-athletes to earn multiple All-America honors on the 2025 At-Large team.
Garabo capped her brilliant Spartan career with another huge year. For the third straight year, she earned the IWLCA Division III Goalie of the Year award. She is the first Division III student-athlete to earn the positional player of the year award three times since 2016.
Garabo finished the year with a record of 17-4 in 21 starts for the Spartans. She played 1,039:49 in net with a 7.91 goals against average and a save percentage of .529. Garabo recorded 154 saves while she allowed 137 goals during the year. Garabo finished fourth in the country in save percentage and 19
th in goals per game.
Garabo, who was named the MAC Commonwealth Goalie of the Year for the third time earlier in the spring, recorded double figures in saves in nine games including a brilliant 15-save effort in the Spartans' third round NCAA Tournament win over William Smith. Those 15 saves set a new York College NCAA Tournament game record.
Garabo earned her graduate degree in strategic leadership in May as she owned a perfect 4.00 GPA in her grad work. She earned a 3.96 GPA during her undergrad time at York.
Kluegel finished off her stellar Spartan campaign as she was a third-team IWLCA All-American. She led the Spartans in scoring with 81 points on 59 goals and 22 assists. Kluegel had six game-winning goals for the Green and White while she had three free position goals. Kluegel also had 19 ground balls, three caused turnovers and two draw controls. She fired off 115 shots with 73% of her attempts coming on target.
Kluegel, who was the 2024 MAC Commonwealth Attacker of the Year, concluded her career as a three-time MAC All-Commonwealth selection. She also was a two-time IWLCA All-Region V pick and a 2025 IWLCA All-American. She is just one of five Spartans to reach the 200-career point plateau with 213 points on 168 goals and 45 assists. She graduates fifth all-time in points, third in goals and tied for second in game-winning goals (12).
Kluegel earned her degree in civil engineering in May as she boasted a perfect 4.0 GPA for her Spartan career. She shared the William DeMeester Senior Scholar-Athlete award with teammate
Nesiah Bertram, who also owned a perfect 4.0 career GPA.
Fields closed out her Spartan career with a fantastic senior year in leading York to their first MAC Commonwealth championship in school history. Fields was the NFHCA Region V Player of the Year and earned first-team All-American honors. She was a two-time All-American at York.
Fields finished off her standout career this fall as the top goalie in Spartan history. Fields finished the year ranked first in Division III in save percentage and second in goals against average. She led the Spartans to a school-record 17 wins as she allowed just 14 goals for a goals against average of 0.59. Fields played all 1,423:57 of the Spartan minutes in cage this season. She registered 91 saves to go along with 13 individual shutouts.
Fields finishes her time in the Green and White with career school records in save percentage (.830), goals against average (0.62), wins (48), and shutouts (31). She also owns the single season records for wins (17 in 2024), save percentage (.867 in 2024), goals against average (0.56 in 2023), and shutouts (13 in 2024).
Fields graduated with a degree in civil engineering and a GPA of 3.56.
