NEWTOWN, Pa. (Women’s Lacrosse) – The York College Spartans were selected as the favorite to repeat as champions in the 2026 conference preseason poll conducted among the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth women’s lacrosse coaches. The Spartans collected all seven first-place votes from opposing coaches for a total of 49 points.

In 2025, York claimed its fourth-straight MAC Commonwealth Championship title with a 17-11 win over Stevenson.
The Spartans made run in the NCAA tournament, beating Plymouth State in the second round and #13 William Smith in the third round. York saw their season end in the NCAA Quarterfinals with a loss to #2 Middlebury.
Messiah earned an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament, taking down University of Mount Union in the first round before falling to No. 5 Franklin and Marshall College in the second round.
The 2026 season is set to begin on Saturday, Feb. 21. Conference play will begin on Wednesday, April 1 with a seven game schedule.
The 2026 MAC Commonwealth Women's Lacrosse Championship is set for April 29 - May 2. The top-four seeds will battle for the conference title and the NCAA Division III Championship automatic qualifier (AQ).
