NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending January 25, 2026. A total of 18 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Jan. 19, 2026 to Jan. 25, 2026.
MEN’S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Jevon Yarbrough (Hood / Jr., Guard / Hagerstown, Md.) combined for 66 points in a 2-0 week, highlighted by a career-high 42 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds against Eastern. In that matchup, he took over in the second half, scoring 25 points to secure the win. Earlier in the week, he helped the Blazers pull away from Alvernia with a dominant second-half performance.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Giovanni Sejuste (Lebanon Valley / Fy., Guard / Gap, Pa.) powered the Dutchmen to two home wins, shooting 66.7 percent from the field while totaling 48 points and 18 rebounds. He opened the week with a 25-point, 10-rebound double-double to erase a 20-point deficit against FDU-Florham. He followed that by hitting the game-winning turnaround jumper in overtime against Delaware Valley, finishing with 23 points and eight rebounds.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Liv Monturo (Messiah / Gr., Forward / Bayport, N.Y.) filled the stat sheet in two victories, totaling 46 points, 24 rebounds, seven assists, six steals, and five blocks. She posted a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds in a rout of Eastern. She followed up with another double-double against Alvernia, tallying 19 points and 14 rebounds alongside four steals.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Brielle Reidinger (Lebanon Valley / Sr., Forward / Easton, Pa.) averaged a double-double (10.5 points and 12 rebounds) across two wins. After posting 11 points and 12 rebounds against FDU-Florham, she played the hero against Delaware Valley. In that game, she recorded 13 points, nine rebounds, and four blocks, culminating in a game-winning free throw with just 6.1 seconds remaining.

MAC Ice Hockey Offensive Player of the Week
James Eng (Misericordia / Sr., F / Missinaugua, Ontario) scored two crucial goals in a 4-3 victory over first-place Neumann. He netted the game-tying goal at 16:39 before scoring the game-winner on a power play at 18:29.
MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week
Ryan Burgess (Arcadia / Sr., Goalie / Langhorne, Pa.) allowed only two goals over the weekend against King's, finishing with a 1-0-1 record. He made 60 saves total, boasting a .968 save percentage and a 0.96 goals-against average.
WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY (#MAChky)
MAC Ice Hockey Offensive Player of the Week
Phoebe Roberts (Arcadia / Jr., F / Sydney, Australia) tallied two assists and a clutch goal in a series against King's. She assisted on the game-winner in a 4-0 shutout and scored the tying goal with just 7.5 seconds left in regulation on Saturday, forcing an overtime that Arcadia eventually won.
MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week
Will McPherson (King’s / So., Goalie / North Bay, Ontario) faced a heavy workload against Arcadia, making 125 saves across two games while allowing only five goals. She stopped 63 shots on Friday to surpass 500 career saves and followed up with 62 saves in Saturday's overtime loss.

MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Ian Hopkins (Eastern / So. / Fanwood, N.J.) took first place in the 60m Hurdles at the Coach I Open with a time of 8.47. He is currently ranked first in the Metro Region for the event.
MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Jeric Lewis (Eastern / So. / Adairsville, Ga.) broke his own program record in the Triple Jump with a top mark of 14.55m at Franklin & Marshall. The jump ranks him second in the Metro Region and 12th nationally.

MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Gabby Nye (Widener / Gr. / Shippensburg, Pa.) set a new Widener record in the 3k at the Hounds Classic, winning the event with a time of 9:50.24. This performance ranks first in the conference and fifth in the nation.
MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Brandy Varner (King’s / Sr. / Plymouth Meeting, Pa.) won the shot put at the Hounds Classic with a personal best of 13.67 meters, the top mark in the conference and seventh-best nationally. She also placed third in the weight throw with a distance of 15.28 meters.
SWIMMING (#MACswim)
MAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Connor Scheckner (King’s / Fy. / Woolwich, N.J.) broke three pool records during a victory over Moravian. He took first place in the 100 backstroke (53.87), 200 backstroke (1:57.12), and 200 IM (2:00.09) before anchoring the winning 200 freestyle relay team.
MAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Annika Doutrich (York / So. / Womelsdorf, Pa.) secured a team-high six individual wins over two meets, helping York reach their highest win total in six years. She swept the 500 and 1000 freestyle events in both meets, averaging a dominant 48-second margin of victory in the 1000 free.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL (#MACvb)
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Alex Kagoro (Messiah / Sr., OH / Irondequoit, N.Y.) totaled 32 kills across eight sets for the No. 7 Falcons. He hit .500 with 12 kills in a sweep of No. 11 Wentworth and added 19 kills with a .455 hitting percentage against Thiel.
MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Aidan Dunwoody (Messiah / Fy., DS / Mechanicsburg, Pa.) anchored the defense for a 3-0 weekend at the Cougar Kickoff Classic. He recorded five digs in the sweep of Wentworth and added 12 digs in wins over Thiel and Elmira.

MAC Men’s Wrestler of the Week
Drew Kozubal (Messiah / Jr. / Mechanicsville, Va.) went 4-0 to win the 165 lbs title at the Ober Invitational. His run included two 16-0 technical falls and a hard-fought 4-3 decision in the championship bout against Elizabethtown's Gavin Fehr.
MAC Women’s Wrestler of the Week
Alex Graffius (Delaware Valley / So. / Brigantine, N.J.) earned her ninth win of the season during the team's first dual victory over Misericordia. She pinned her opponent in 1:35, marking her team-leading sixth pin of the year.
