NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending October 4, 2026. A total of 25 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Sept. 28, 2026 to Oct. 4, 2026.
CROSS COUNTRY (#MACxc)
MAC Men’s Runner of the Week
Matthew Reed (Stevens / Fy. / Egg Harbor Twp., N.J.) was Stevens' top finisher at the Paul Short Open Race, clocking 28:32.6 — more than 1:30 faster than his time at the MAC Preview two weeks earlier.
MAC Women’s Runner of the Week
Shaelyn O’Halloran (Stevenson / So. / Bel Air, Md.) placed a career-best third at the Cairn Highlander Invitational with a 6K time of 26:22.1, helping Stevenson finish third out of nine teams with a score of 45.
FIELD HOCKEY (#MACfh)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Kelbie Linebaugh (York / Jr., F / New Oxford, Pa.) totaled seven points in a 2-0 week for York, scoring the double-overtime game-winner in a 2-1 upset of No. 4 Salisbury and adding two goals and an assist in a 6-1 conference win over Eastern.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Maddy Merlack (York / Fy., GK / Gibsonia, Pa.) made 20 saves against No. 4 Salisbury to hold the Seagulls to one goal in a 2-1 double-overtime win, then added two saves in York's 6-1 conference-opening win over Eastern.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Claire Weidenhammer (Lebanon Valley / Sr., F / Newport, Pa.) scored three goals — including both game-winners — to lead Lebanon Valley to a 2-0 week. She scored twice in a 4-1 win at Juniata, then opened the scoring in a 3-0 win at Arcadia to begin conference play. She has scored in six of nine games this season and ranks 11th in the nation in scoring.
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Lily Trocki (DeSales / So., GK / Whitehall, Pa.) made 13 saves and allowed just two goals in a 1-1 week for DeSales, stopping nine shots in a loss to Kean and four in an overtime shutout of FDU-Florham, her third shutout of the season.
MEN’S GOLF (#MACgolf)
MAC Commonwealth Golfer of the Week
Allen Kim (Alvernia / Fy. / South Korea) earned low medalist honors at the Golden Oaks Shootout with a 6-under 66 — a program single-round record — carding six birdies and no bogeys to lead Alvernia to the team title. He then paced the Golden Wolves to a third-place finish at the Stevenson Fall Shootout, shooting 76 and 71 to tie for sixth.
MAC Freedom Golfer of the Week
Reagan Flynn (Lebanon Valley / Jr. / Annville, Pa.) fired a career-low 1-over 71, two strokes off the program record, to finish fourth in a field of 75 at the Susquehanna Fall Invitational. He carded an eagle and four birdies as Lebanon Valley placed third of 15 teams with a 298, the third-lowest score in program history.
WOMEN’S GOLF (#MACgolf)
MAC Golfer of the Week
Ilaria Catania (Albright / Sr. / Madeira, Portugal) won the Shriver's Saltwater Shootout with an 84, finishing nine strokes clear of second place. She also tied for fourth in a 15-golfer field with a 94 at the Weyhill Classic, averaging 89.0 on the week.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Darwin Berger (Neumann / Sr., M / North East, Md.) scored his first goal of the season in the 44th minute, on his lone shot, to lift Neumann to a 1-0 win over York in its first MAC Commonwealth contest.

Chemar Hamilton (Widener / Fy., GK / Naples, Fla.) recorded his first shutout of the season in Widener's 2-0 win over Delaware Valley, facing 13 shots and turning aside all five on net, including back-to-back saves early in the second half and another in the 76th minute to seal the win.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Scott Jordan (Arcadia / So., F / Allentown, N.J.) scored two goals and added two assists in a 2-0-1 week for Arcadia. He had a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win at Immaculata, scored the lone goal in a 1-1 draw with Wilkes, and set up the game-winner in a 4-2 win over Marywood.

Ben Van Valkenburg (King’s / Jr., GK / Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) made nine saves in a 0-0-2 week for King's, stopping five shots in a 1-1 draw with Susquehanna and four in a 1-1 draw with Stevens in the MAC Freedom opener.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Dani Farias (Hood / Sr., M / Ellicott City, Md.) scored twice on Senior Day to earn Hood a draw with Alvernia, heading in the opener in the 12th minute and equalizing in the 76th with a shot over the goalkeeper after the Golden Wolves had taken a 2-1 lead.

Mackenzie Hanley (York / Jr., D / Limerick, Pa.) scored the game-winner and helped hold Neumann to just two shots in York's 5-0 win in the MAC Commonwealth opener.

Gianna Grassifulli (Delaware Valley / Gr., F / Philadelphia, Pa.) scored four goals in the opening 22 minutes of Delaware Valley's 7-0 win over PSU-Schuylkill.

Campbell Pacheco (DeSales / Jr., GK / Rio Rancho, NM) made 13 saves in a 1-1 week for DeSales, stopping five shots in a loss at Washington College and eight in a 1-0 shutout win at FDU-Florham.

MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Matias Contreras (Albright / So. / Santiago, Chile) went 3-1 for Albright, winning 6-1 at No. 2 doubles over West Chester with David Garces Cifuentes and 7-5 at No. 3 doubles over Moravian with Miguel Munoz Coryn. He also rallied from a 6-3 first-set deficit to win at No. 2 singles over Moravian, 7-6 (7-3), 6-1.

Pratik Nayak (Stevens / Fy. / Nanuet, N.Y.) won three matches at the Mary Washington tournament, teaming with Christopher Cho for an 8-3 doubles win over Christopher Newport before falling to No. 4 Mary Washington, and taking two B2 flight singles matches over Salisbury's Maas Jacobs (6-3, 7-6) and Mary Washington's Albert Vladimirskiy (6-2, 6-2).
WOMEN’S TENNIS (#MACtennis)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Maddi Haggerty (York / Sr. / Sykesville, Md.) led York to a 7-0 win over Misericordia, winning 6-0 at No. 1 doubles and 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles as the Spartans improved to 2-0 with two shutouts. She is now 4-0 in singles and doubles this fall.

Catherine Stone (Lebanon Valley / Sr. / Kennett Square, Pa.) remained unbeaten on the season, going 2-0 at the top flights in a 4-3 win at Bryn Mawr. She won No. 1 doubles 6-4, then took No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-1 to give the Dutchmen a 2-0 lead in the match.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Tara Gosney (Hood / Fy., OH / Centreville, Pa.) hit .297 with 3.44 kills and 4.11 points per set, recording 17 kills in a comeback win over conference foe Albright and 14 more against Roanoke.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Grace Cooper (Eastern / Sr., DS/Libero / Collegeville, Pa.) totaled 48 digs, five assists, and four aces in a 2-1 week, including 16 digs and two aces in a four-set win over Lancaster Bible and 19 digs against Marymount.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Hadley Sparks (Lebanon Valley / Fy., OH / Dallas, Ga.) totaled 46 kills and 52.0 points in a 3-0 week, averaging 4.18 kills and 4.73 points per set. She posted a season-high 20 kills at .471 against Gallaudet, plus 14 kills against King's and 12 at Penn College, adding 39 digs on the week.

Teaguen Reynolds (Lebanon Valley / Sr., MH / Mechanicsburg, Pa.) recorded 14.0 blocks (1.75 per set) in just two matches of a 3-0 week, including a program-record 12 in a win over King's, and added 15 kills and four aces.
