Day One of the 2026 MAC Swimming Championships Concludes at the GAC

York leads with four medals

YORK, Pa. (Swimming) – The first day of the 2026 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Men's and Women's Swimming Championships was completed Thursday at the Graham Aquatic Center.
 
Through four events, Stevens leads the men's standings with 396 points. York is in second with 347.5 points, Arcadia is third with 198 points, Widener is fourth with 174.5 points, and Misericordia is fifth with 174 points.
 
Stevens also currently leads the women's standings with 344 points. Misericordia is in second with 323 points, York is in third with 203 points, Messiah is in fourth with 188 points, and Widener is in fifth with 176 points.

500-YARD FREESTYLE
Men
Sean Lehan of Widener claimed his second title in the 500 Free. Lehan clocked in at 4:41.44. Stevens’ Patrick Cortelli placed second with a time of 4:43.02, while Colin McLallen of York placed third with a time of 4:46.74.

Women
Stevens’ Eszter Kiss claimed the gold after she swam a 5:03.18 time to earn her first 500 free MAC medal. Annika Doutrich of York claimed second with a time of 5:14.75. Tamsin Formon of Misericordia clocked in at 5:17.11 to round out the top-3. 
 
200-YARD INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY
Men
York’s Bryce Miller earned his first MAC gold medal with a first place time of 1:53.79. Misericordia’s Gannon Schwalm placed second finishing at 1:55.26. Stevens’ Cooper Moffatt claimed third with a time of 1:55.89.

Women
York's Isabella Klemm collected her third gold medal in the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.88. Sophia Routzahn of Hood finished in second with a time of 2:08.65 and Messiah's Grace Schad claimed third-place with a time of 2:10.40.
 
50-YARD FREESTYLE
Men
Bryan Collins of York claimed his third gold medal in the 50 Free. Collins finished in 20.49, beating his time from 2025 by .34 seconds. Teammate Brenden Stuhltrager finished in a close second with a time of 20.79. Will Stibor of Stevens finished in third with a time of 21.16.

Women
Tori Ellex of Misericordia clocked in at 23.63 to take first-place. Laney Klaus of Stevens placed second with a time of 23.69. Arcadia's Mikayla Scardino took third with a time of 24.48.
 
200-YARD MEDLEY RELAY
Men
York’s Bryce Miller, Cooper Stiles, Brenden Stuhltrager, and Bryan Collins finished with a time of 1:31.18 to take first place. Stevens placed second with a time of 1:34.61. Misericordia placed third with a time of 1:37.12. With this time, York sets a new MAC Championship record in the event, dethroning their own previous time of 1:32.50 from last year.
 
Women
To cap the night, Stevens Laney Klaus, Adriana Bertolotti, Natalia Brunetti, and Eszter Kiss placed first with a time of 1:45.16. Misericordia placed second with a time of 1:46.16 and Messiah took third after finishing in 1:50.90. Stevens sets a new overall record and MAC Championship record dethroning their own previous time of 1:46.09 from last season.

Day two of the 2026 MAC Swimming Championships will start with the 400 Individual Medley.
