MAC Weekly Awards Announcement (February 17, 2026)

NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending February 15, 2026. A total of 27 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Feb. 9, 2026 to Feb. 15, 2026.

BASEBALL (#MACbaseball)
MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week
Matt Mays (Alvernia / Sr., P / Langhorne, Pa.) earned the save in Alvernia’s 7-3 win over Kean, tossing three scoreless innings in relief. He allowed just one hit while striking out four and issuing no walks to close out the victory.

MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Harold Ivery III (Alvernia / Jr., First Base / Aldan, Pa.) went 4-for-4 with a double and three singles in a 7-3 win over preseason Kean. He drove in a run to give Alvernia an early lead and later scored the go-ahead run in the sixth inning.

MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week
David Finch (Stevens / Sr., P / Brentwood, Tenn.) picked up the win in his season debut with 4.2 innings of relief work. He allowed two unearned runs on two hits while striking out five.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Jacob Rivera (DeSales / So., First Base / Bethlehem, Pa.) hit .636 with seven hits, four doubles, two RBIs, and two runs scored in a three-game series at Bridgewater (Va.).

MEN’S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops) 
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week 
Phanique Dupree (Albright / Sr., Forward / Asbury Park, N.J.) averaged 23.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 blocks, and 2.0 steals while shooting 70.9 percent from the floor. He recorded 22 points against Widener before posting a 25-point, 12-rebound double-double versus Hood, becoming Albright’s all-time leader in career blocks.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week 
Jayden Thomas (DeSales / So., Guard / Allentown, Pa.) averaged 29.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 7.5 assists in two games. He scored 33 points with nine assists against Arcadia and followed with 26 points in a win over Stevens. Thomas shot 62.5 percent from the field and 89.5 percent from the line.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops) 
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week 
Avalynn Baer (Widener / Sr., Forward / Lancaster, Pa.) averaged 22.5 points in two wins, setting a career high with 22 at Albright before surpassing it with 23 against Alvernia to help Widener clinch a playoff spot. She added eight rebounds in both games.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Whitney Evans (Delaware Valley / So., Guard / West Chester, Pa.) kicked things off with 22 points, six rebounds and four assists to help the Aggies push past Arcadia for the first time since 2022. Evans then scored 17 points, six rebounds and three steals in the loss to Stevens. She finished off the week with a 22 point, four rebound and five assist performance in the win over King's. Evans has now scored in double-digits in 22 total games this season including seven with 20-plus points. 

MEN’S ICE HOCKEY (#MAChky)
MAC Ice Hockey Offensive Player of the Week
Bryce Battaglia (Arcadia / Jr., F / Gretna, Ne.) helped his team go 2-0 on the week, picking conference wins first on the road against Misericordia, a 3-1 victory and then at home against King's in a 4-0 victory. Battaglia had an assist against Misericordia before going on to score a goal, the game winner, and an assist against King's. Battaglia now has nine goals on the season, with four game-winning goals and three power play goals.

MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week
Mason Jones (Misericordia / Fy., Goalie / Auburn, N.Y.)  went 1-1 with a 1.01 goals-against average and .972 save percentage. He made 38 saves in a shutout win over first-place Neumann.

WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY (#MAChky)
MAC Ice Hockey Offensive Player of the Week
Sofie Ancona (Hood / So., F / Grosse Point Farms, Mi.) recorded three goals and an assist in two one-goal wins. She netted the eventual game-winner against Arcadia and added an insurance goal in a victory over Neumann to keep Hood’s playoff hopes alive heading into the final week of the regular season.

MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week
Mia Frisoni (Lebanon Valley / Jr., Goalie / Glenville, N.Y.) made 25 saves in a 2-1 overtime win at Stevenson, stopping 23 consecutive shots and both attempts she faced in overtime.

MEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf) 
MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Owen Foytack (King’s / Gr. / Moscow, Pa.) set a school-record time of 4:07.41 in the mile at the BU Valentine Invitational. His mark leads the MAC, ranks third in the region, and sits 19th nationally.

MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Matayo McGraw (Widener / Jr. / Harford, Md.) broke his own school record in the triple jump with a 15.62m mark to extend his national lead. He also set a personal-best 2.05m in the high jump, ranking first in the conference.

WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf) 
MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Aylene Noy (Hood / Sr. / Frederick, Md.) set school records in both the 5K (17:59.47) and 3K (10:31.97), finishing third and first, respectively. Both marks qualify her for MACs, with the 3K also qualifying for regionals.

MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Brooke Signorella (DeSales / Jr. / Gibbsboro, N.J.) tied the school record in the triple jump with an 11.31m mark at Cornell. The jump leads the MAC this season and qualifies her for both the MAC and AARTFC Championships.

MEN’S LACROSSE (#MAClax)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week 
Bobby Berg (Messiah / Sr., Attack / San Diego, Calif.) recorded seven points (4G, 3A) in a season-opening win over Catholic, scoring six points in the second half to spark the comeback.

MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Colin Kane (York / Sr., Defense / Havertown, Pa.) posted career highs with four caused turnovers and five ground balls in a win over No. 10 Washington and Lee, helping hold the Generals under 10 goals.

MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week 
Luke Dugan (FDU-Florham / Jr., Midfielder / Washington, N.J.) scored seven goals in a season-opening 16-6 win over Albright, placing eight of his 10 shots on goal.

MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week 
Michael Jannotte (Stevens / Fy., Goalie / Massapequa, N.Y.) made 18 saves in his collegiate debut as Stevens upset No. 6 Dickinson, including six stops in the fourth quarter.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE (#MAClax)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Olivia Galati (Stevenson / So., Attack / Rockland County, N.Y.) led the Mustangs with an 11-point week on Attack. Against No. 8 Salisbury, the sophomore slotted a hat trick, scoring three of the Mustangs' five goals on the night. Galati then netted four goals and dished out four assists for Stevenson in the team's win over Juniata. 

MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Katie Bukiewicz (Messiah / Jr., Defense / Beavercreek, OH) led the No. 24 Falcons defense in an 11-5 win over No. 25 Scranton on Saturday afternoon. Bukiewicz led all players with six ground balls and tallied three caused turnovers and two draw controls.

MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Olivia Costa (DeSales / Fy., Attack / New Tripoli, Pa.) had a strong start to her career scoring four goals in her first career game in DSU's 9-5 win over McDaniel College on Friday. She added two ground balls in the win.

MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Larkin Trainor (DeSales / Fy., Goalie / Staten Island, N.Y.) had a strong start to her career making 10 saves and allowing just five goals in DSU's 9-5 win over McDaniel College on Friday. She had a .667 save percentage and added one ground ball in the win.

MEN’S VOLLEYBALL (#MACvb)
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Alex Kagoro (Messiah / Sr., OH / Irondequoit, N.Y.) totaled 54 kills and hit .304 in a 3-0 week, including 18 kills in a win over No. 9 Baldwin Wallace and 22 against Benedictine.

MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Cameron Birch (Arcadia / Sr., Libero / Boiling Springs, Pa.) helped the Knights go 3-0 on the week, winning all three games in five sets. Birch had 55 digs in 15 sets, 14 against undefeated Wilson College at home on Thursday, career-high 24 digs against New Jersey City University, and then collected 17 more digs against Drew.

WRESTLING (#MACwrestle)
MAC Men’s Wrestler of the Week 
Noah Rice (Messiah / Sr. / East York, Pa.) recorded a fall in a dual win over Elizabethtown before winning the 157-pound title at the Messiah Open. He secured the championship with a 4-2 decision over the top seed.
