NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending February 8, 2026. A total of 16 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Feb. 2, 2026 to Feb. 8, 2026.
MEN’S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Jevon Yarbrough (Hood / Jr., Guard / Hagerstown, Md.) powered Hood to a 2-0 conference week, highlighted by a dominant 41-point performance on 15-of-21 shooting in a win over Stevenson. He added 10 assists and narrowly missed a triple-double, finishing two rebounds shy. The junior followed with a double-double effort against York (Pa.), helping the Blazers secure another key conference victory and a spot in the MAC Commonwealth postseason tournament.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Jayden Thomas (DeSales / So., Guard / Allentown, Pa.) led DeSales to a pair of road victories while helping the Bulldogs clinch a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason. The sophomore averaged 29.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game, beginning the week with 25 points and nine assists at Lebanon Valley before erupting for 33 points, eight rebounds, and six assists at FDU-Florham. Thomas shot 50 percent from three-point range across the two wins.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Liv Monturo (Messiah / Gr., Forward / Bayport, N.Y.) posted 43 points and 19 rebounds across two Falcon victories. She opened the week with an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double against Albright before adding 25 points and nine boards in a win over Widener. Monturo also contributed four assists, three blocks, and three steals during the 2-0 stretch.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Olivia Schubiger (Stevens / Sr., Guard / Morristown, N.J.) averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.0 steals as Stevens went 2-0. She recorded 21 points with six rebounds against King’s before adding 20 points on efficient shooting in a comeback win over Misericordia.

MAC Ice Hockey Offensive Player of the Week
Max Donohoe (Neumann / So., F / Milton, Ontario) totaled five points on three goals and two assists during a 2-0 conference weekend. He opened with a goal and two assists in a win over Wilkes, then scored twice — including the tying goal — to help Neumann rally past Stevenson.
MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week
Connor Graham (Alvernia / Fy., Goalie / Fort Wayne, IN) posted 55 saves while allowing just one goal across two victories. He made 27 stops in a 2-1 win over Arcadia before recording a 28-save shutout against Misericordia.
WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY (#MAChky)
MAC Ice Hockey Offensive Player of the Week
Anna Dale (Lebanon Valley / Jr., F / Juneau, Alaska) recorded six points (3G, 3A) and finished +6 as LVC clinched a MAC Championship berth with two wins. She had a goal and assist against Hood before tallying four points, including the game-winner, in a shutout victory over King’s.
MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week
Stephanie Skorupa (Alvernia / So., Goalie / Des Plaines, Ill.) made 34 saves to earn a shutout in a 5-0 victory over Hood, including 13 stops in the third period to secure the clean sheet.
MEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf)
MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Sam Rothstein (Lebanon Valley / Sr. / Mount Joy, Pa.) recorded career-best times in both the mile and 800 meters at the Scarlet Knight Open. His mile time of 4:18.04 leads the MAC this season, while his 1:56.91 in the 800 ranks among the conference’s top times and places him in multiple regional rankings.
MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Jordan Jones (King’s / So. / Toms River, N.J.) broke his own school record in the long jump with a first-place mark of 6.89 meters, currently the best in the MAC and fifth in the region.
WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf)
MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Kay Wiscount (DeSales / So. / Mount Royal, N.J.) won the 800 meters at the Blue and White Invitational with a time of 2:17.98 — the fastest in the MAC this season. The performance qualified her for AARTFC and ranks among the top times in program history.
MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Brandy Varner (King’s / Sr. / Plymouth Meeting, Pa.) broke her own school record in the weight throw with a winning mark of 17.37 meters, currently tops in the MAC and ninth nationally. She also claimed first place in the shot put.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL (#MACvb)
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Alex Olcott (Stevens / Jr., OH / Los Gatos, Calif.) totaled 30 kills, 18 digs, five blocks, and four aces during a 2-1 week. He led Stevens in an upset of No. 2 Carthage and added efficient offensive production in a win over Drew.
MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Dominic Ambrose (Stevens / Jr., Libero / Tustin, Calif.) recorded 30 digs across 10 sets, highlighted by a season-high 14 digs against No. 1 Springfield and nine more in a win over Drew.
WRESTLING (#MACwrestle)
MAC Men’s Wrestler of the Week
Malik Asfour (Eastern / Jr. / Lodi, N.J.) captured the 125-pound title at the John Summa Invitational, winning all four matches — three by technical fall — before securing the championship with a first-period pin.
MAC Women’s Wrestler of the Week
Maura White (York / Jr. / Wharton, N.J.) earned York’s lone victory in a dual at Lock Haven with a 1:36 fall at 138 pounds. The junior now has 19 falls this season and closed dual competition on a nine-bout winning streak.
