NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending March 29, 2026. A total of 29 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Mar. 23, 2026 to Mar. 29, 2026.
BASEBALL (#MACbaseball)
MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week
Christian Foltz (Messiah / Sr., P / Harrisburg, Pa.) threw a 94-pitch perfect game with nine strikeouts in a 6-0 win over Hood. This dominant performance led the Falcons to victory in game one of their Saturday doubleheader.
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Matt Luchovick (Messiah / Sr., Catcher / Pittsburgh, Pa.) batted .571 on the week with three home runs, three doubles, and nine RBIs. His performance was highlighted by a 4-for-4 game on Sunday that included two home runs in a 13-3 win.
MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week
Zak Lussier (Misericordia / Jr., P / Hollis, NH) recorded four saves and a 1.45 ERA over 6.2 innings during a perfect 4-0 week for the Cougars. He secured critical saves against #5 Kean and throughout a three-game sweep of Stevens.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Max Oswald (Arcadia / Sr., Outfield / Whippany, N.J.) hit .692 with 18 RBIs and six home runs, including a two-run shot and a grand slam in the same inning. He set a new program record by hitting three home runs in a single game during a doubleheader against King's.
MEN’S GOLF (#MACgolf)
MAC Commonwealth Golfer of the Week
Filip Hjerten (Albright / So. / Stockholm, Sweden) fired back-to-back rounds of 73 to finish solo second out of 44 golfers at the DeSales Spring Classic. His performance, which included four birdies, led the Lions to a second-place team finish.
MAC Freedom Golfer of the Week
Brendan Percey (King’s / So. / Branchville, N.J.) shot a 78 (+6) to earn a share of first place in the season opener against Wilkes. He recorded two birdies and eight pars during the round held at Huntsville Golf Club.

MAC Golfer of the Week
Alexis Marsh (Stevenson / So. / Erie, Pa.) tied for 14th place at the McDaniel Spring Invitational as the leading golfer for the Mustangs. This marked her second consecutive top-15 finish of the spring season and her seventh overall.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Owen Hammel (Messiah / Jr., Midfield / Dillsburg, Pa.) led the Falcons with six points on three goals and three assists in a 16-5 win over Arcadia. He achieved a perfect shooting percentage by scoring his three goals on just three shots.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Connor Dunay (Stevenson / Jr., FOGO / Parkton, Md.) broke two program records by winning 32-of-33 faceoffs and collecting 23 ground balls against Albright. His historic performance anchored the Mustangs' victory on Saturday.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Matthew Pergola (Stevens / Sr., Attack / Nutley, N.J.) became the third player in program history to reach 200 career goals during a 22-4 win over Eastern. He matched his season-high with four goals while adding four assists for a total of eight points.
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Taylor Wikert (DeSales / Sr., Defense / Fogelsville, Pa.) totaled four caused turnovers and six ground balls to help the Bulldogs defeat Widener 13-7. He led a defensive unit that forced 21 turnovers and allowed only seven goals in the contest.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Grace Pettitt (Messiah / Jr., Attack / Salisbury, Md.) dominated the week with 12 goals and five assists across two Falcon victories. She set a career-high with seven goals in Saturday's 14-10 win over Mary Washington.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Grace Hejeebu (Messiah / Sr., Goalie / Ellicott City, Md.) anchored the defense with 23 total saves and a .622 save percentage during a 2-0 week. Her efforts included a 12-save performance where she allowed only four goals against Shenandoah.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Brooke Harmonosky (King’s / So., Attack / Sugarloaf, Pa.) recorded 11 points on four goals and seven assists in a 14-9 road victory at Centenary. Both her point and assist totals rank second all-time for a single game in program history.
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Lindsay Esposito (Stevens / Sr., Defense / Mountain Lakes, N.J.) contributed five caused turnovers and four ground balls in wins over #25 Haverford and Montclair State. She also established a new career-high with eight draw controls during the victory against Montclair State.

MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week
Emily Trzonkowski (Eastern / Fy., P / Middletown, Del.) improved to 8-0 on the season after striking out 15 batters across two wins this week. She highlighted her week with a career-high 10 strikeouts in a one-hit shutout against Albright.
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Allie Book (Messiah / Sr., First Base / Fallston, Md.) posted a .785 batting average with 11 hits, six RBIs, and six runs scored over four games. On Thursday, she nearly hit for the cycle with two doubles, a triple, and a home run against Marymount.
MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week
Sydney Grifone (FDU-Florham / Sr., P / Vernon, N.J.) went 3-0 on the week, allowing only two earned hits while striking out 21 batters over 16.1 innings. Her efforts helped the Devils reach a perfect 4-0 record for the week.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Angelina Bresnen (Delaware Valley / Sr., Infield / Morrisville, Pa.) hit .571 with three home runs and 11 RBIs, including two grand slams during the week. She also went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple, and a home run in the first game against DeSales.

Enrico Pucci (Albright / So. / São Carlos, Brazil) went undefeated in singles and doubles play to lead the Lions to a 2-0 week. He secured identical 6-2, 6-0 singles wins against both Marymount and Stevenson.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Patrick Buonacquista (DeSales / Fy. / Middletown, N.J.) in the team's only match, Buonacquista won at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles against Eastern University. He partnered with Jatin Prabhakar for a 6-2 doubles win before taking his singles match 6-2, 6-3.
WOMEN’S TENNIS (#MACtennis)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Michelle Timothy (Albright / Sr. / Reading, Pa.) went 2-0 in singles matches, including a perfect 6-0, 6-0 shutout against Stevenson. She competed at both the #1 and #2 singles spots during the week’s competition.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Catherine Stone (Lebanon Valley / Jr. / Kennett Square, Pa.) went 5-0 during the week to maintain an undefeated 11-0 record in dual singles play this season. She recorded her fourth "double bagel" (6-0, 6-0) of the year in a conference win over King's.

MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Victor Cruz (Delaware Valley / Gr. / New Castle, Del.) won the 200m at the Danny Curran Invite with a school-record time of 21.41. This mark currently ranks first in the MAC and 11th nationally.
MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Michael De Falcis (Lebanon Valley / Gr. / Mechanicsburg, Pa.) won the javelin at the Blue & White Open with a season-best toss of 60.08 meters. His throw leads the Mid-Atlantic Region and ranks 13th in the nation.

MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Kathryn Long (Widener / Sr. / Clifford Township, Pa.) placed second in the 10,000-meter at the Danny Curran Invitational with a school-record time of 36:41.52. She currently leads the conference by over a minute and ranks 20th nationally.
MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Brandy Varner (King’s / So. / Plymouth, Pa.) won both the shot put and discus events at the Danny Curran Invitational while placing eighth in the hammer throw. Her marks in shot put and discus lead the conference and region, ranking her in the top 10 nationally for both.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL (#MACvb)
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Alex Kagoro (Messiah / Sr., OH / Irondequoit, N.Y.) recorded 21 kills and hit .548 to lead the Falcons to a 3-0 sweep over Stevenson. He also contributed seven digs, three service aces, and two assists during the match.
MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Tyler Hoke (Stevens / Sr., Middle Hitter / Mechanicsburg, Pa.) totaled 11 kills and five blocks as Stevens went 2-0 on the week. He provided four blocks in a sweep of Stevenson and helped the team overcome a 2-0 deficit to beat Southern Virginia.
