NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending March 8, 2026. A total of 26 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Mar. 2, 2026 to Mar. 8, 2026.

BASEBALL (#MACbaseball)
MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week
Brennan Moloughney (Eastern / Jr., P / Neptune, N.J.) tossed a complete-game, seven-inning shutout in a 9-0 win over Saint Elizabeth. The junior allowed just three hits and struck out six while needing only 61 pitches to secure his second win of the season.

MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Luke Meehan (Eastern / Sr., First Base / Allentown, Pa.) fueled the Eagles’ offense during a 5-1 week, going 6-for-11 with a home run, 12 RBIs, and nine runs scored. The senior first baseman reached base at a remarkable .750 clip during the stretch.

MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week
Mike Hooker (DeSales / Sr., P / Ridley Park, Pa.) earned a complete-game victory in an 8-2 win over Widener. The senior allowed just two runs on six hits across seven innings while striking out four.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Xavier Diaz (FDU-Florham / So., Outfield / Wanaque, N.J.) delivered a dominant offensive week, going 11-for-18 (.611) with a double, two triples, four RBIs, and six runs scored. The sophomore reached base at a .682 clip and finished with a 1.571 OPS across five games.

MEN’S LACROSSE (#MAClax)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week 
Jimmy Sparacio (Alvernia / So., Attack / Staten Island, N.Y.) recorded 17 points in a 2-0 week, totaling 10 goals and seven assists. He highlighted the stretch with an 11-point performance in an overtime win over King’s, the program’s highest single-game total since 2019.

MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Lucas Strand (Hood / So., FO / Robbinsville, N.J.) dominated at the faceoff X, winning 29 of 38 attempts while collecting 20 ground balls. His performance helped the Blazers secure a 2-0 week, including a tight victory over St. Vincent.

MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week 
Jack Simone (Misericordia / Fy., Attack / Mt. Kisco, N.Y.) posted 15 points on six goals and nine assists in a 2-0 week for the Cougars. The first-year tallied seven points against Neumann before adding eight more in a win over Immaculata.

MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week 
Connor Rowe (Lebanon Valley / Fy., Midfield / Lebanon, Pa.) set a program record with 23 faceoff wins in a victory over Wilkes. The first-year won 23 of 27 draws while collecting 11 ground balls and adding a goal.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE (#MAClax)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Hayley Lettinga (Messiah / Sr., Midfield / Woodbine, Md.) scored 10 goals across two games for the nationally ranked Falcons. She tallied four goals against No. 5 Salisbury before adding six goals in a win over Washington College.

MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Hannah Gawne (Messiah / Sr., Midfield / Lancaster, Pa.) contributed across the field during the week, recording 16 draw controls along with defensive plays and offensive production. She highlighted the week with a career-high 10 draw controls in a win over Washington College.

MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Maddie Hogan (Stevens / Sr., Attack / Montgomery, N.J.) led the Ducks with seven goals and four assists in a 1-1 week. She matched a career-high with five goals in a win over Mary Washington and added four points against Rowan.

MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Grace Marchese (Lebanon Valley / Sr., Defense / Glenside, Pa.) anchored the Dutchmen defense with six caused turnovers during the week. She helped LVC secure a win over Marymount after adding three caused turnovers in the victory.

SOFTBALL (#MACsb)
MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week 
Natalie Rietema (York / Sr., P / Ringwood, N.J.) opened the season 2-0 in two starts against Roanoke and Southern Virginia. She posted a team-best 1.14 ERA with one complete game appearance in 12.1 innings of work.

MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Ainsley O’Donnell (Eastern / Jr., Outfield / Moscow, Pa.) hit .500 during a 7-1 week for the Eagles. The junior center fielder drove in 10 runs, scored 10 times, and recorded six extra-base hits including three triples and three doubles.

MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week 
Tessa Fredericks (Delaware Valley / Fy., P / Easton, Pa.) began her collegiate career with 6.2 scoreless innings across three appearances. The first-year allowed just two hits while earning a save and also contributed offensively with a .800 batting average.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Emma Quattrochi (Stevens / Jr., Outfield / Lawrenceville, N.J.) went 8-for-18 at the NFCA Leadoff Classic while scoring four runs and stealing seven bases. She capped the weekend with a 3-for-4 performance and three steals in a win over Transylvania.

MEN’S TENNIS (#MACtennis)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week 
Christian Coulson (Stevenson / Fy. / Towson, Md.) earned a straight-set singles victory and helped secure a doubles win as the Mustangs defeated Wittenberg 7-0. His efforts helped Stevenson complete a dominant team sweep.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week 
Samvid Andhare (Stevens / Jr. / Nagpur, India) went 3-1 across two matches during the week. The junior earned singles victories over opponents from NYU and Franklin & Marshall while also contributing a doubles win.

WOMEN’S TENNIS (#MACtennis)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week 
Ariella Stepleman (Stevenson / Sr. / Marietta, Ga.) secured wins in both singles and doubles as Stevenson swept Wittenberg 7-0. The senior posted an 8-1 singles victory and teamed for a 6-2 doubles win.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week 
Nikki Denbowski (Lebanon Valley / Sr. / Reading, Pa.) won five of six matches during a 3-1 team week in Hilton Head. She went undefeated in singles play and earned three doubles victories during the stretch.

MEN’S TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf)
MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Danny Jutras (Stevens / Sr. / Wrentham, Mass.) nearly matched his school record in the 800 meters at the AARTFC Indoor Championships. The senior finished fourth with a time of 1:53.48.

MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Aonghas Evanick (Lebanon Valley / Gr. / Souderton, Pa.) posted a career-best weight throw of 17.16 meters at the AARTFC Championships. The throw ranks second in program history and among the top marks in the MAC this season.

WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf)
MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Ellie Kozich (DeSales / So. / Mountain Top, Pa.) won the 5,000 meters at the AARTFC Championships with a school-record time of 16:44.88. The performance ranks sixth nationally and secured her spot in the NCAA Division III Championships.

MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Trinity Batista-Anderson (York / Fy. / York, Pa.) qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships with a personal-best high jump of 1.67 meters. The freshman became just the second indoor national qualifier in York program history.

MEN’S VOLLEYBALL (#MACvb)
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Alex Kagoro (Messiah / Sr., OH / Irondequoit, N.Y.) led the No. 6 Falcons with 26 kills across two sweeps while hitting .392. He also added 10 digs, five blocks, and a service ace during the week.

MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Todd Snyder (Messiah / So., Middle Hitter / West Chester, Ohio) totaled seven blocks and 13 kills during a pair of victories. The sophomore middle hitter anchored the Falcons’ defense while contributing offensively in wins over Widener and No. 20 Vassar.
