NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending April 19, 2026. A total of 27 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Apr. 13, 2026 to Apr. 19, 2026.

BASEBALL (#MACbaseball)
MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week
Hayden O’Neill (Widener / Sr., P / Bethlehem, Pa.) threw a gem in game two of a three-game sweep against Hood. He pitched 6.0 innings, allowing just two runs on six hits while recording one strikeout and no walks.

MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Lucas Prendergast (York / Sr., Second Base / Bridgeton, N.J.) hit .529 with nine hits and seven RBIs during a dominant 3-1 week for the Spartans. In the series finale against Alvernia, he went 4-for-6 with four runs scored and four RBIs.

MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week
David Finch (Stevens / Sr., P / Brentwood, Tenn.) tossed a seven-inning complete game shutout to lead Stevens to a 3-0 victory over King's. He recorded a career-high 10 strikeouts while allowing only two hits and three walks.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week
JT Anderosky (DeSales / Sr., Outfield / Warrington, Pa.) batted .529 on the week and tied a single-game program record with six hits in a game against FDU-Florham. He totaled eight runs, six RBIs, five doubles, and a triple across the week's contests.

MEN’S GOLF (#MACgolf)
MAC Commonwealth Golfer of the Week 
Ryan Thomas (Stevenson / Jr. / Shrewsbury, Pa.) competed at the Stevenson Invitational, he finished in a tie for fifth place out of 95 participants with a score of +5. His performance, which included three birdies and an even-par front nine, helped propel the Mustangs to a second-place team finish.

MAC Freedom Golfer of the Week 
Jack Harris (Stevens / Fy. / Los Angeles, Calif.) took first place at the Battle of Basking Ridge, leading the Ducks to a 13-stroke team victory. He bested the field with an even-par 71, which included 16 pars and a birdie on the 17th hole.

WOMEN’S GOLF (#MACgolf)
MAC Golfer of the Week 
Grace Spielman (Alvernia / Sr. / Huntington Beach, Calif.) fired a career-low round of 71 to earn her first career low medalist honor at the MAC Preview. Her round featured seven birdies and was the lowest single-round score for Alvernia in nearly two years.

MEN’S LACROSSE (#MAClax)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week 
Gavin Gossen (Stevenson / Jr., Attack / Newport Beach, Calif.) excelled on attack, recording a 12-point game in a victory over Alvernia. He scored a hat trick and added nine assists in that game, breaking the program record for assists in a single contest.

MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Jeff Mueller (York / Jr., Defense / Salisbury, Md.) led the York defense with five caused turnovers and four ground balls across two victories. His efforts helped the Spartans hold Stevenson to a season-low five goals.

MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week 
Matthew Pergola (Stevens / Sr., Attack / Nutley, N.J.) became the all-time career points leader at Stevens, reaching 305 points during a win over Arcadia. He totaled 14 points on seven goals and seven assists as the Ducks clinched a conference tournament berth.

MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week 
Luke Lesizza (Stevens / Sr., Defense / Fairfield, Conn.) recorded five ground balls and 10 caused turnovers during a 2-0 week for the Ducks. He set a career-high with nine caused turnovers in the Saturday victory over Arcadia.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE (#MAClax)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Grace Pettitt (Messiah / Jr., Attack / Salisbury, Md.) totaled eight goals and 10 assists to help lead Messiah to two dominant conference wins. During Saturday's game against Eastern, she broke the Messiah program record for career assists.

MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Addyson Wagman (Messiah / Sr., Defender / Spring Grove, Pa.) led a defense that limited two opponents to just nine total shots on goal during the week. She contributed 10 draw controls, seven ground balls, and two goals across the two victories.

MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Christina DiGuglielmo (DeSales / Sr., Attack / Floral Park, N.Y.) led the Bulldogs in scoring with seven goals and eight assists to secure a top-two seed in the postseason. She highlighted her week with a 10-point performance (six goals, four assists) against Misericordia.

MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Emma Williamson (DeSales / Sr., Defense / Seaford, N.Y.) anchored a defense that allowed only nine goals in two games, including a shutout of Delaware Valley. She totaled 13 ground balls and eight caused turnovers, while also scoring four goals in the win over Misericordia.

SOFTBALL (#MACsb)
MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week 
Ky Vaughn (Stevenson / Sr., P / Ewing, N.J.) threw a complete-game victory over Albright, allowing only one earned run in a 10-2 win. She was efficient in the circle, needing only 84 pitches to move to 3-3 on the season.

MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Taylor McClain (Alvernia / Jr., Shortstop / Bristol, Pa.) batted .421 with eight hits, eight RBIs, and nine walks during a 4-2 week for the Golden Wolves. She finished the week with a .607 on-base percentage and did not strike out once in 19 at-bats.

MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week 
Gabby Cruz (Misericordia / So., P / Woodbine, N.J.) went 3-0 with a stellar 0.41 ERA across three appearances for the Cougars. She struck out 12 batters and allowed only one earned run in 17 innings of work.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Angelina Bresnen (Delaware Valley / Sr., Second Base / Morrisville, Pa.) went 12-for-21 (.571) with three home runs and 11 RBIs during another outstanding week. She set new single-season program records for both home runs and RBIs during a two-homer game against Immaculata.

MEN’S TENNIS (#MACtennis)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week 
Karim Fattal (Albright / Fy. / Brisbane, Queensland) went 2-0 in singles play at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots to help Albright clinch a playoff spot. He earned dominant victories over opponents from both Immaculata and Eastern.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week 
Samvid Andhare (Stevens / Jr. / Nagpur, India) went 5-1 overall, including an undefeated 3-0 record in singles play. He also contributed two conference doubles wins at the No. 1 position to help the Ducks to a successful week.

WOMEN’S TENNIS (#MACtennis)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week 
Elicia Aponte (Albright / Jr. / Annapolis, Md.) finished a perfect 4-0 week to help the Lions clinch their third straight playoff appearance. She did not drop a set in singles play and contributed two wins at the No. 1 doubles spot.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week 
Stephanie Untermeyer (Stevens / Sr. / Dallas, Texas) went 4-2 over three matches, recording two singles wins at the No. 3 flight. She also earned two doubles victories at the No. 2 position against Arcadia and New Paltz.

MEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf)
MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Jozef Callano (DeSales / Jr. / Wall, N.J.) broke the DeSales school record in the 1,500-meter with a time of 3:53.65, the fastest in the conference this season. He also recorded the fourth-fastest 800-meter time in the MAC this year at the Paul Donahue Invitational.

MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Nathan Bowman (Messiah / So. / Lancaster, Pa.) set a new MAC record in the shot put with a phenomenal throw of 18.93 meters. This mark also broke the Messiah program record and currently ranks second in all of NCAA Division III.

WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf)
MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Gabby Nye (Widener / Gr. / Shippensburg, Pa.) broke her own school record in the 1,500-meter with a time of 4:27.27 at the Paul Donahue Invitational. She also won the 800-meter race on Saturday and currently ranks 10th nationally in the 1,500-meter.

MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Brandy Varner (King’s / Sr. / Plymouth, Pa.) won both the shot put and discus events at the Misericordia Invitational. She broke her own school and personal record in the discus (48.84m), a mark that ranks third in the nation.
