Center Valley, PA (May 15, 2026) - Senior JT Anderosky went 4-for-4 and senior Mike Hooker earned his ninth win of the season leading the DeSales University baseball team past Ramapo College, 12-7, on day one of the NCAA Regional on Friday afternoon.

"There are no easy bunts," a phrase made popular by former Assistant Coach Richard Ludy in the early 2000's, was never more true on Friday afternoon as DeSales dropped seven bunts in the second inning including five straIght at-bats leading to six runs in the inning as the Bulldogs took a 7-0 lead.

DSU led 1-0 after the first inning when Anderosky singled, stole second, moved to third on a failed pickoff attempt, and scored on a sacrifice fly from graduate student Owen Fischl.

In the second inning senior Shane Anhalt singled thru the right side and the Bulldogs started wreaking havoc playing small ball, dropping bunts on five straight at-bats that resulted in six runs on a combination of hits, sacrifice bunts, and Roadrunner errors.

The Bulldogs put three more runs on the board in the fourth when Anderosky had an RBI single, scored two batters later on an RBI triple from first-year Kevin Brace, who later scored on a wild pitch.

Ramapo got two runs back in the fifth before DSU took a 12-2 lead on solo runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

The Roadrunners rallied to cut the margin in half with five runs in the eighth inning but senior Kyle Hart quieted the rally with two scoreless innings to close out the win.

Hooker earned his ninth win of the season, tying the team record for wins in a season, accomplished four other times. He allowed just seven hits and two unearned runs over seven innings, striking out two.

Anderosky finished 4-for-4 and broke two single-season records, recording his 80th hit on the season, breaking the old record of 76 hits by Ian Hauze and also scored his 64th run of the season, breaking the old mark of 63 runs scored by Lew Campanaro.

Fischl had two more RBIs bringing his season total to 61, breaking the old mark of 60 held by Brian Manning set in 1996.

Senior Bobby Dingell had two hits and scored twice and senior John Rorick finished the game 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

The Bulldogs will face the regionals top seed, Salve Regina, in the winner's bracket game on Saturday afternoon at Weiland Park with first pitch set for 2:30 pm.
