Stevens Finishes 34th in the Division III Learfield Directors’ Cup Standings Leading MAC Schools

Stevens and Messiah finish in top-50, 14 MAC institutions ranked in total

CLEVELAND (Conference News) – The 2025-26 Division III Learfield Directors’ Cup final standings were released Tuesday afternoon. A total of 14 institutions from the Middle Atlantic Conferences were ranked with Stevens placing 34th to lead all MAC schools. 

The Ducks earned a total of 498.00 points in this year’s competition. They added 291 points this spring with 64 points coming from men's lacrosse. They also earned 50 points apiece in men’s tennis, women's tennis and women's lacrosse. Stevens totaled 125 points in the fall and 82 points in the winter to round out their total. 

Messiah finished two spots behind Stevens with a final ranking of 36. The Falcons were the highest ranked MAC Commonwealth institution with 475.00 total points, with 204 of those points from this spring. They earned 65 points from men's volleyball, 64 points in baseball and 50 points in women's lacrosse. Messiah carried 169 points over from the fall and 102 points from the winter.

York was the third highest ranked MAC school with a final ranking of 52. The Spartans finished the year with 353.00 points, including 222 earned this spring. The strong spring gave York a massive bump in the Learfield Directors’ Cup standings with 73 points coming from men's lacrosse, 64 points coming from women's lacrosse, and 48 points coming from women's golf. Spartans finished the final two-thirds of the season strong as they also carried over 131 points from the winter. 

Lebanon Valley finished in 119th place with its 170.50 points followed by Eastern in 124th with 161.50 points. The Flying Dutchmen added points this spring with 37 points coming from men's track & field and 25 points from softball. 

Widener and DeSales were the next two MAC schools in the standings, ranked 178 and 187, respectively. Both schools added points this spring with the Pride receiving 46 points apiece from men's and women's track & field for a 92.00-point total and the Bulldogs picking up 37.5 points in baseball to give them 86.50 points.

Albright was next at 188th with 86.00 points this year, receiving 25 apiece from men's and women's tennis this spring. Hood (217th), Misericordia (231st), Stevenson (236th), Arcadia (268th), Alvernia (271st) and King's (312th) each entered the standings with their points coming from the fall and winter. 

Overall, Washington University in St. Louis becomes just the eighth different institution to take home the Learfield Directors’ Cup, capturing first for the 2025-26 year with 1,266.50 overall points. The UAA was the top-performing conference with four institutions ranked in the top-10.
