NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending September 13, 2026. A total of 28 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Sept. 7, 2026 to Sept. 13, 2026.
CROSS COUNTRY (#MACxc)
MAC Men’s Runner of the Week
Ryan Weber (Misericordia / Sr. / Long Valley, N.J.) won the Cougar Classic 8K outright in 26:47, taking the individual title by 20 seconds and leading Misericordia to the team championship.
MAC Women’s Runner of the Week
Joelle Ruccio (Marywood / Fy. / Fanwood, N.J.) ran a 22:46.2 in her first collegiate 6K to finish fifth at the Dickinson College Long-Short Run — the eighth-fastest time in Marywood history and the second-fastest among Division III competitors in the field, trailing only Dickinson's Meghan Higgins-Haas and three West Chester runners.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Karly Bervinchak (Widener / Jr., F / Lancaster, Pa.) fired in seven goals on 16 shots to lead Widener to a 2-0 week, posting a hat trick against Lancaster Bible and a career-tying four-goal game in a 7-3 win over Drew.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Delana Dunkelberger (Albright / Fy., GK / Catawissa, Pa.) earned her first career win in just her second collegiate start, turning aside nine shots in Albright's 1-0 win over Gwynedd Mercy.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Claire Weidenhammer (Lebanon Valley / Sr., F / Newport, Pa.) piled up seven points on three goals and an assist as Lebanon Valley went 2-1. She scored twice, including the game-winner, in a 3-0 win over Penn State Harrisburg, then added a goal and the assist on the game-winning tally in a 2-1 win over St. Lawrence.
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Ella Weidenhammer (Lebanon Valley / Sr., GK / Newport, Pa.) made 15 saves on 20 shots and posted a shutout as Lebanon Valley went 2-1, highlighted by two saves in a 3-0 win over Penn State Harrisburg and six more in a 2-1 win over St. Lawrence.
FOOTBALL (#MACfb)
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Jeremiah Avrilien (Eastern / Sr., RB / Miami Gardens, Fla.) rushed for a program-record 244 yards and three touchdowns on 11.1 yards per carry, powering Eastern to a 27-21 win over Misericordia in the Eagles' home and MAC opener.
MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Brandon Choi (Lebanon Valley / Sr., LB / Coatesville, Pa.) racked up 13 tackles and returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown that gave Lebanon Valley a 17-3 lead in a hard fought loss to Delaware Valley.
MAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Mohammad Butt (Stevenson / Fy., K / Towson, Md.) supplied every point in Stevenson's 26-21 win at King's, hitting field goals of 25 and 38 yards and adding two PATs, while averaging 49.7 yards per kickoff and nearly 40 per punt — his three made field goals now rank first in the conference.

MAC Commonwealth Golfer of the Week
Jonatan Liljeblad (Albright / Sr. / Stockholm, Sweden) won The Berkleigh Challenge outright, topping a field of 79 golfers with a two-day total of 144 (even par) to lead Albright's "A" team to a first-place finish among 14 teams. He opened with a 73 before dialing in a 71 in the final round, carding three birdies along the way.
MAC Freedom Golfer of the Week
Noah Eide (Stevens / Sr. / Ramsey, N.J) tied for sixth overall and posted the team's low round of the day with a two-over 74, helping Stevens to a third-place finish (+18) in a field that included nationally ranked Swarthmore (No. 51), Hartford (No. 78), Farmingdale State (No. 80), and NC Wesleyan (No. 98) — the Ducks outdueled both Swarthmore and Hartford. He recovered from three early bogeys, playing his final holes three-under with back-to-back birdies at 11 and 12.

MAC Golfer of the Week
Jillian Fidler (Lebanon Valley / Sr. / Lebanon, Pa.) tied for fourth overall and was tied for the top Division III finisher at the Elizabethtown Invitational, carding an 83 (42-41) with nine pars at Hershey Country Club.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Zach Sievert (Eastern / Sr., F / Jacksonville, Fla.) scored all three goals in Eastern’s 3-0 win over Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday. Sievert scored all three goals in the second half to keep the Eagles unbeaten.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Jake Bono (York / Sr., GK / Marlboro, N.J.) made 12 saves at a .923 clip, allowing only a penalty kick in a 1-0 loss to Franklin & Marshall. Through five games he owns a 0.22 goals-against average and a .964 save percentage with two clean sheets.

Emerson Kekesi (Stevens / Jr., M / Columbus, N.J.) scored in both games of a 2-0 week for Stevens, assisting the opener and burying his own goal in a 2-0 win over Skidmore before adding an insurance goal in a 2-0 win over WPI.
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Bobby Boyke (Stevens / Fy., GK / Somerset, N.J.) posted back-to-back shutouts, blanking Skidmore and WPI by identical 2-0 scores, capped by a season-best four saves in the win over WPI.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Meg Kalthof (York / Sr., F / Bel Air, Md.) scored a pair of game-winners and totaled six points on three goals in a 2-0 week, extending her scoring streak to four straight games. Her 41st career goal moved her into a tie for second in program history.

Gracie Leathery (York / Fy., GK / East Berlin, Pa.) didn't allow a goal across her first two collegiate starts, making six saves in a 1-0 win over Franklin & Marshall and logging 135 scoreless minutes on the week.

Alexa DelGiudice (Delaware Valley / Jr., M / Stroudsburg, Pa.) turned in a seven-point night in Delaware Valley's lone game of the week, scoring back-to-back goals in the 19th minute, assisting the next goal, and capping her hat trick in the 76th minute of a 6-0 win over Cedar Crest.

Tristan Wroe (Stevens / Sr. / Westfield, N.J.) won three matches at the Haverford/Swarthmore Invitational, pairing with Renat Kramin for a 7-5 doubles win, topping Vassar in three-set singles, and teaming with Kramin again for a 6-3 doubles win over Haverford.

Kaylee Hobbick (Stevens / So. / Austin, Texas) went 2-0 at the TCNJ Invitational, winning doubles 6-3 with partner Eva Karmazin before taking her singles match 8-6.

Melissa Eddy (Neumann / Jr., OH / Dover, Del.) piled up 43 kills at a .272 clip with 13 aces and 42 digs in a 2-2 week, earning All-Tournament honors at the Knights Invitational with double-doubles against Ursinus and DeSales.

Sami Baer (York / So., Libero / Reading, Pa.) led York's defense with 66 digs (6.00 per set) and a .900 serve-receive percentage, and now leads the Commonwealth in both digs and digs per set through two weeks.

Keira McCaffrey (Misericordia / Jr., MH / Mineola, N.Y.) hit .368 with 29 kills, five aces, and 3.86 points per set in a 2-1 week, highlighted by a .588 clip with four aces in a sweep of Catholic.

Arianna Wood (FDU-Florham / Sr., Libero / Wayne, N.J.) anchored FDU-Florham's 3-0 week with 63 digs (5.73 digs per set) and just one reception error across three matches, including a career-high 36 digs in a 3-2 win over York.
