NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending September 27, 2026. A total of 28 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Sept. 21, 2026 to Sept. 27, 2026.

CROSS COUNTRY (#MACxc)
MAC Men’s Runner of the Week
Rory Lieberman (Lebanon Valley / Sr. / Danville, Pa.) won the Lock Haven Invitational 8K in 24:43.1, edging a 184-runner field of Division II and Division III competitors by seven seconds. He led Lebanon Valley to a second-place team finish and top Division III honors among 22 scoring teams.

MAC Women’s Runner of the Week
Madison Hedglin (Misericordia / So. / Dallas, Pa.) placed third overall and was the top Division III finisher in a 183-runner field at Lock Haven, her 21:29 tying the fourth-fastest time in school history.

FIELD HOCKEY (#MACfh)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Gracyn Catalano (Stevenson / Sr., F / Mechanicsburg, Pa.) assisted on the first goal and scored the game-winner at the 32:40 mark to lift No. 11 Stevenson to a 4-1 upset of No. 2 Salisbury.

MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Jordan Vradenburgh (Stevenson / Sr., GK / Fairless Hills, Pa.) went 2-0 in goal for Stevenson, making eight saves in a 4-1 upset of No. 2 Salisbury and recording her third shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over No. 14 Stevens. The senior leads the nation with a .15 goals-against average.

MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Brooke Barwick (Marywood / Jr., F / Sunbury, Pa.) tallied three goals and an assist for seven points in wins over Lycoming and Albright, scoring the game-winner in a 3-1 win over the Warriors and adding two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over the Lions. She has scored in five consecutive games, a career best.

MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Sabrina Frazer (Marywood / Jr., GK / Islip, N.Y.) posted a 0.67 goals-against average and an .833 save percentage in two Marywood wins, making three saves in a 3-1 victory over Lycoming and two stops to keep Albright scoreless for 30 minutes.

FOOTBALL (#MACfb)
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Jeremiah Avrilien (Eastern / Sr., RB / Miami Gardens, Fla.) ran for 177 yards on 29 carries and scored his seventh rushing touchdown of the year in the second quarter, giving Eastern a lead it would not relinquish in a 21-7 win over Delaware Valley.

MAC Defensive Player of the Week
DonJuan Clark III (Eastern / So., LB / Philadelphia, Pa.) led Eastern with six tackles and added the team's first sack of the season, a forced fumble, and an interception in a 21-7 win over Delaware Valley that improved the Eagles to 3-0 in conference play.

MAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Kevin Carotenuto (Alvernia / Fy., K / Langhorne, Pa.) booted a 21-yard field goal in the second overtime to secure Alvernia's first-ever win over Lebanon Valley, 13-10, after sending the game to overtime with a 36-yarder just before halftime. He also averaged 41.6 yards on five punts, including a program-record 72-yarder from his own end zone, and pinned four of the five inside the Dutchmen's 20.

MEN’S GOLF (#MACgolf)
MAC Commonwealth Golfer of the Week
Jonatan Liljeblad (Albright / Sr. / Stockholm, Sweden) won The Gauntlet at Hawk Point Golf Club with a two-day total of 140 (-4), shooting 71 and 69 with eight birdies. It was his second straight individual tournament win, following his victory at The Berkleigh Challenge.

MAC Freedom Golfer of the Week
Arav Tank (Stevens / Sr. / Woodcliff, N.J.) tied for third at the Northeast Elite Tournament, helping Stevens tie for fifth as a team. He opened one-under through his first nine holes, tied for the lead at the midway point after a weather-suspended first round, and finished with a two-day 143 (+1) — five shots behind team-winner Rochester (No. 18 in the final 2025-26 rankings) and seven ahead of McDaniel (No. 43).

Jonathan Fuentes (Hood / Sr., M / Hagerstown, Md.) marked his senior night with a first-half goal in Hood's 1-0 win over King's (Pa.), and he stayed dangerous all night, threatening three separate times on the cross.

MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Tristan Willey (Widener / Sr., GK / Bethlehem, Pa.) made eight saves in a 1-1 week for Widener, including a season-high five in a 3-0 shutout of Misericordia and three in a 1-0 loss to Johns Hopkins.

MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Gavin Rapp (Lebanon Valley / So., F / Wernersville, Pa.) scored twice in a pair of road wins for Lebanon Valley, netting the 37th-minute game-winner in a 2-1 win at Lycoming and the opener in a 4-1 win at Albright. He has scored in three straight games.

MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Isaac Yerger (Lebanon Valley / Fy., GK / Lititz, Pa.) made seven saves and allowed just one goal in two wins for Lebanon Valley, stopping four shots in a 2-1 win at Lycoming and three in a 4-1 win at Albright.

WOMEN’S SOCCER (#MACsoc)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Meg Kalthof (York / Sr., F / Bel Air, Md.) recorded three points in a 2-0 week, assisting on the first goal and scoring the 26th-minute game-winner in a 2-1 win over Stevens. Her 15th career game-winning goal set a program record, passing Maria Chesnavage, who had held the mark since 2003.

MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Gracie Leathery (York / Fy., GK / East Berlin, Pa.) helped York go 2-0, making five saves in a clean sheet against Salisbury and another in a 2-1 win over Stevens.

MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Maura Kirkpatrick (Marywood / Jr., F / Parker, Colo.) totaled 10 points on four goals and two assists in two Marywood wins, including a career-high seven points and her first career hat trick in a 6-0 win over Mount Aloysius. She added a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Oswego State, setting up Madison Dias' go-ahead goal before scoring in the 66th minute.

MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week 
Olivia Petty (Arcadia / Fy., GK / Las Vegas, Nev.) went 1-1 for Arcadia, making five saves in a shutout of Widener and 16 saves against No. 8 Messiah in a 4-0 loss, tying for third in program history for saves in a single game.

MEN’S TENNIS (#MACtennis)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Marcelo Menchaca (Albright / So. / Saltillo, Mexico) won both of his matches against Muhlenberg, taking singles 6-4, 6-0 over Ryan Hart and teaming with Nicolas Vallejo for a 6-3 doubles win.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Bernardo Figueiredo (Arcadia / Sr. / Lisbon, Portugal) led Arcadia to a 6-1 win over Rowan College of Gloucester County, winning No. 1 doubles 6-3 with Kevin McHale and No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-2.

WOMEN’S TENNIS (#MACtennis)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Kiara Bomboy (Messiah / Sr. / Yorktown, Va.) won at the top flights in Messiah's 5-2 win over Bryn Mawr, taking No. 1 doubles 6-4 and No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-1 to help the Falcons finish the fall season 2-0.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Kaylee Hobbick (Stevens / So. / Austin, Tx.) went 2-2 at the ITA Southeast Regional Championship, winning an 8-6 doubles opener with Jasmine Wen over Gettysburg and an 8-4 consolation singles match over Washington College's Sofia Sperandei. Her losses came against fifth-seeded Johns Hopkins in doubles and second-seeded Shelly Zinchenko of Carnegie Mellon in singles. 

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL (#MACvb)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Clara Conner (Messiah / Fy., Setter / Sinking Spring, Pa.) orchestrated Messiah's offense in a 2-0 week with 79 assists, four kills, four aces, and 25 digs, including 36 assists in the conference opener against Albright and a double-double (43 assists, 17 digs) against Dickinson.

MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Grace Cooper (Eastern / Sr., DS/Libero / Collegeville, Pa.) led Eastern with 48 digs and 16 assists in a 2-1 weekend, recording 24 digs against Mount Union and 24 more across wins over Arcadia and Gallaudet.

MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Keira McCaffrey (Misericordia / Jr., MB / Mineola, N.Y.) hit .403 with 25 kills and 11 aces in a 3-0 week, capped by 12 kills with no errors and three aces in a 3-2 win at Montclair.
 
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week 
Avery Bell (Arcadia / Fy., Libero / Charleston, S.C.) totaled 89 digs (6.36 per set) in a 2-2 week for Arcadia, recording at least 16 in every match, including a season-high 29 against Mount Union and 18 in a 3-2 conference win over Marywood.
