Megan Morrison became the fifth executive director of the MAC, on July 6, 2020, since the position was made full-time in 1978.
Morrison comes to the MAC from the Ivy League where she served as the conference’s Associate Executive Director for Compliance and Governance since 2016. She oversaw the League’s compliance, governance and student-services efforts, managed several championships, served as a liaison to coach groups and created the conference’s inaugural mental health summit in partnership with the Patriot League. Prior to that position, she was the Assistant Director (2008-16) and Compliance Coordinator (2006-08) at the Ivy League.
She is a long-time member of Women Leaders in College Sports, having attended the annual convention since 2006 and the Leadership and Executive Institute in 2014. She is also a member of the National Association of Athletics Compliance. She has served on numerous NCAA committees, including two terms on the Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee and the Women’s Ice Hockey Committee, which she chaired from 2012-14.
After graduating magna cum laude from Bowdoin College, Morrison obtained her Master of Science degree in Sports Management from Florida State University, where she also served as a graduate assistant in the athletics compliance office.
