ANNVILLE, Pa. (Women's Soccer) – The Messiah Falcons were selected as the favorite in the 2022 conference preseason poll conducted among the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth (MAC Commonwealth) women's soccer coaches. The Falcons collected first-place votes from all eight opposing coaches for a total of 64 points.

In 2021, the Falcons claimed their 18th MAC Commonwealth title after defeating York 3-0. Junior defender Jenna Skurcenski was named the MAC Commonwealth Championship Most Valuable Player (MVP) after leading a defense that shutout both Albright and York.
Messiah fell to TCNJ 2-1 in the second round of the NCAA tournament with an overall record of 17-3-1. Midfielder Kayla Herr was named a 2022 United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American.
The United Soccer Coaches announced the 2022 preseason poll on August 2 ranking Messiah at 17.
The 2022 season is set to begin on Thursday, September 1. Conference play will begin on Saturday, October 1 with a five-week eight-game schedule.
The 2022 MAC Commonwealth Women's Soccer Championship is set for October 31 to November 5. The top-five seeds will battle for the conference title and the NCAA Division III Championship automatic qualifier (AQ).
