NEWTOWN, Pa. (Football) – The 2023 All-Middle Atlantic Conference (All-MAC) Football Team has been announced.
King's senior quarterback Russell Minor-Shaw was named MAC Offensive Player of the Year, and Delaware Valley senior linebacker Anthony Puntolillo was named MAC Defensive Player of the Year.
Minor-Shaw is coming off a terrific season where he led the Monarchs to a 8-2 record and a MAC-Centennial Bowl Series appearance. He threw for 1802 yards and 20 touchdowns which was second in the conference. He also was second in the conference in rushing yards with 754 yards and added 10 touchdowns on the ground.
Puntolillo was a force just about everywhere for the Aggies defense. He was eighth in the conference with 73 tackles and second in sacks with 8.5. He also added 11.5 tfls and two interceptions on the season.
Delaware Valley first year running back Jack Fallon was named MAC Rookie of the Year. In his first year with the Aggies Fallon was fourth in the conference with 735 yards and was second in the conference with 11 touchdowns on the ground.
Delaware Valley head coach Duke Greco was named MAC Coach of the Year for the fourth time since 2017. Greco led the Aggies to a 9-1 regular season record which gave them a claim to the MAC Championship. Delaware Valley will begin their NCAA Tournament run this Saturday when they host Union College.
The All-MAC Football Team is nominated and voted on by the 10 conference football coaches.
