NEWTOWN, Pa. (Softball) - The Lebanon Valley Flying Dutchmen were selected as the favorite in the 2024 conference preseason poll conducted among the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom softball coaches. The Flying Dutchmen collected five first-place votes from opposing coaches for a total of 47 points. Misericordia followed with two first-place votes, while Stevens received one.

In 2023, Misericordia claimed the number one seed with a 12-4 conference record as Lebanon Valley competed on the MAC Commonwealth side. Lebanon Valley's season ended in the NCAA Super Regional round against No. 1 Salisbury University.
The 2024 season is set to begin on Saturday, Feb. 17. Conference play will begin on Saturday, March 16.
The 2024 MAC Freedom Softball Championship is set for May 2-4. The top-four seeds will battle for the conference title and the NCAA Division III Championship automatic qualifier (AQ).
