NEWTOWN, Pa. (Women’s Ice Hockey) – In the first year of Ice Hockey operating as an Automatic Qualifying sport, the Wilkes Colonels were selected as the favorite in the 2024-25 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Women’s Ice Hockey Coaches’ Preseason Poll, voted on by the MAC women’s ice hockey coaches. The Colonels collected five first-place votes from opposing coaches for 47 points.

The Colonels finished with a 18-7-2 overall record in the 2023-24 season and 12-6-2 in UCHC play.
Wilkes defeated Arcadia 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the UCHC tournament to advance to the semifinals. The Colonels fell 0-4 to Nazareth University.
The 2024-25 season is set to begin on Friday, November 1. The 2024 MAC Champion will be crowned from a double round-robin regular-season schedule with the semifinals on March 1 and the finals on March 8.
