READING, Pa. (Women’s Indoor Track & Field) – The Widener Pride won their second straight Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Women’s Indoor Track & Field Title on Saturday. The Cougars collected 177 points to defeat second-place Stevens (129.5) by 47.5 points.
Widener head coach Tim Wilson was named the MAC Coach of the Year.
Widener assistant coach Chuck Butz was named the MAC Assistant Coach of the Year.
Stevens’ Laura Mathews was named MAC Track Athlete of the Year.
Widener's Kayla Robinson was named MAC Field Athlete of the Year.
Misericordia's Grace Morningstar was named the MAC Rookie of the Year.

60-Meter Dash
Widener’s Maria Muzzarelli won gold for the second straight year, this year with a time of 7.63 seconds. With her time she has tied the MAC record time of 7.63 seconds set in 2017. Stevens’ Laura Mathews took silver with a time of 7.65 seconds, and Widener's Mariam Koita won bronze with a time of 7.88 seconds.
60-Meter Hurdles
Stevens’ Laura Mathews won gold for a fourth-straight year in the 60-meter hurdles, this year with a time of 8.60 seconds. She had run 8.59 seconds in the prelims to break her previous championship record time of 8.60 seconds. Stevens' Kristen Williams won silver with a time of 8.99 seconds, and Delaware Valley's Olivia Smiarowska won bronze with a time of 9.40 seconds.
200-Meter Dash
Stevens Laura Mathews won gold for the second straight year with time of 24.96 seconds. With this time she broke the MAC Championship record time of 25.43 seconds set in 2016. Widener’s Maria Muzzarelli took silver with a time of 25.67 seconds, and Messiah's Halle Jennett won bronze with a time of 26.40 seconds.
400-Meter Dash
Widener's Kelly Bar won gold with a time of 59.65 seconds. Stevens' Isabella Shanley took silver with a time of 1:00.37 seconds, and Lebanon Valley's Darrian Berkheimer won bronze with a time of 1:00.67.
800-Meter Run
Misericordia's Grace Morningstar won gold with a time of 2:17.71. Arcadia’s Micah Gordley took silver with a time of 2:18.42, and Widener’s Donna Holt won bronze with time of 2:18.49.
Mile Run
Widener’s Gabriella Nye won gold for the second straight year, this year with a time of 5:03.27. Lebanon Valley’s Lauren Bunke took silver with a time of 5:06.14, and Misericordia's Madison Kammer won bronze with a time of 5:14.01.
3,000-Meter Run
Lebanon Valley's Coyla Bartholomew won gold with a time of 10:26.39. Misericordia's Grace Gallagher took silver with a time of 10:29.99, and Widener's Liz Egan won bronze with a time of 10:30.75.
4x400-Meter Relay
Lebanon Valley's Darrian Berkheimer, Alyssa Peiffer, Abagail Reed, and Mileyshka Calderon won gold with a time of 4:06.93. Widener took silver with a time of 4:11.78, and Messiah won bronze with a time of 4:14.30.
4x800-Meter Relay
Miesericordia's Kristen Gallagher, Madison Kammer, Brianna Wagner, and Grace Morningstar won gold with a time of 9:41.54. Stevens took silver with a time of 9:41.95, and Lebanon Valley won bronze with a time of 9:50.60.
High Jump
Stevens’ Caroline Tighe won gold with a jump of 1.61 meters. Stevens' Maya Lapinski won silver with a mark of 1.58 meters, and Misericordia’s Casey Allen took bronze with a mark of 1.58 meters.
Triple Jump
Alvernia’s Shinelle Felix won gold for a second straight year with a jump of 12.22 meters. With this jump Felix breaks the previous MAC Indoor Championship record of 12.07 set in 2020. Widener's Kayla Robinson took silver with a mark of 11.33 meters, and Alvernia’s Mylina Castillo won bronze with a mark of 11.08 meters.
Shot Put
Widener's Kayla Robinson won gold with a mark of 13.39 meters. King's Brandy Varner took silver with a mark of 12.66 meters, and Eastern's Savana Dodd won bronze with a mark of 11.82 meters.
Pentathlon
Widener's Kayla Robinson won gold with 3,143 points. Widener's Theresa Kervick won silver with 2,932 points, and King’s Victoria Zultevicz won bronze with 2,641 points.
