READING, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held its first in-person meeting of the 2025-26 academic year at Alvernia University on October 22. Fifteen institutions were represented at the conference.

Jenna Schuda (Misericordia), MAC SAAC President, Michael Cohen (King's) MAC SAAC Vice President and Riley Signor (FDU-Florham) MAC SAAC Vice President led the group through the agenda to discuss relevant issues that have a direct impact on the student-athletes of the MAC and Division III as a whole. Topics discussed included the DIII National SAAC meeting that was held in July of 2025 and NCAA legislative proposals.

Starting in 2024, DIII National SAAC is now permitted to vote on these proposals. MAC SAAC members are responsible for having campus discussions and identifying  their stance on these proposals. The campus will submit their votes to the MAC office. The compiled MAC votes are reported to National SAAC.

In addition, the group was joined by Bert Zevzavdijan of Do Work which is an organization that empowers athletes to take control of their careers. Student-athletes were taught the importance of building their brand as a student-athlete and how to build that brand on LinkedIn.
