NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending October 5, 2025. A total of 25 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Sep. 29, 2025 to Oct. 5, 2025.
CROSS COUNTRY (#MACxc)
MAC Men’s Runner of the Week
Rory Lieberman (Lebanon Valley / Jr. / Danville, Pa.) placed fourth overall out of 407 runners in the White Race at the Paul Short Run, clocking a time of 24:30.2. After sitting 19th at the mile mark, he surged through the field to finish fourth, leading LVC to a sixth-place team finish against a deep national field that featured 11 ranked programs. His time ranked among the top 120 across all five Paul Short races and was the fastest among MAC competitors.
MAC Women’s Runner of the Week
Kyrianna Nemitz (Lebanon Valley / Jr. / Sinking Spring, Pa.) led Lebanon Valley with a 6K time of 22:28.2 at the Paul Short Run, placing 66th out of 404 runners. She climbed more than 160 spots after the opening mile to help LVC to a 17th-place team finish in a 45-team field. The Dutchmen were the top MAC team and second-best among programs from the Metro and Mid-Atlantic Regions, ahead of regionally ranked Swarthmore.
FIELD HOCKEY (#MACfh)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Caroline Martin (Alvernia / Jr., F / Holland, Pa.) powered Alvernia’s attack with four goals in two games, including all four tallies in a 5-3 victory over Elizabethtown. She accounted for four of the team’s five goals on the week.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Grace Guy (Hood / Sr., GK / Mechanicsville, Md.) anchored Hood’s 3-2 double-overtime shootout victory over Roanoke, making several clutch saves—including a diving stop late in regulation—and then denying multiple attempts in penalty strokes to preserve the win.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Julianna Medina (FDU-Florham / Sr., F / Linwood, N.J.) netted four goals in two games, scoring once in a 2-0 win over Gwynedd Mercy before recording her second hat trick of the season in a 4-1 victory against Neumann. She finished the week with six points, bringing her season total to eight goals and 18 points.
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Adrianna Goodwin (FDU-Florham / Jr., GK / Toms River, N.J.) totaled 15 saves while posting a 2-0 record on the week. She opened with an eight-save shutout against Gwynedd Mercy—her fourth of the season—and followed with seven stops in a 4-1 win over Neumann.

MAC Commonwealth Golfer of the Week
Federico Cobos Kallman (Albright / So. / Bogata, Colombia) earned individual medalist honors at the Golden Oaks Shootout, leading Albright to the team title with back-to-back rounds under par. The sophomore opened with a two-under 70—his best round of the fall—and followed with a one-under 71 for a 36-hole total of 141 (-3). He captured the tournament crown by six strokes over the runner-up, marking the first collegiate victory of his career.
MAC Freedom Golfer of the Week
Brayden Herr (Lebanon Valley / So. / Quarryville, Pa.) tied for second at the DeSales Fall Classic with a two-day total of 143 (+1), helping Lebanon Valley to a fifth-place team finish and its best score under Head Coach Joe Faller. The sophomore opened with a career-low 70 (-2) on Friday at Olde Homestead Golf Club, just one stroke shy of the program record. Herr tallied five birdies and 10 pars in the round, going one-over on the front before closing with a three-under 33 on the back. He followed with a 73 (+1) in Saturday’s final round, carding five more birdies to finish strong. LVC’s team score of 305 in the finale ranked as the 11th-lowest in program history and the best mark of Faller’s tenure.
WOMEN’S GOLF (#MACgolf)
MAC Golfer of the Week
Taylor Gardner (Arcadia / Sr. / Hampden, ME) placed 14th overall at the Golden Oaks Shootout, hosted by Arcadia at Golden Oaks Golf Club. The senior recorded rounds of 87 and 82—her two best scores of the fall—on the par-72, 5,502-yard course. Gardner finished the event with 16 pars and a birdie to lead the Knights.

Ryan Miller (Stevenson / Fy., F / Lansdale, Pa.) notched his first collegiate goals in Stevenson’s 5-0 victory over Susquehanna, recording a brace to lead the Mustangs’ offensive surge.

Adam Labows (Hood / Fy., GK / Leonardtown, Md.) recorded his first career shutout with eight saves in a 3-0 win over Eastern. The first-year leads the MAC in goals-against average and save percentage, anchoring Hood’s defense with composure and control in the box.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Ryan Maguire (FDU-Florham / Sr., M / Toms River, N.J.) delivered his first career hat trick to lift FDU-Florham to a 6-5 comeback win over Misericordia. He scored in the 54th, 60th, and 77th minutes, with his third goal standing as the game-winner.
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Nick Becker (Delaware Valley / So., GK / Myerstown, Pa.) posted seven saves while allowing just one goal in a 1-1 draw against DeSales. The sophomore now has 24 saves this season and continues to rank among the league’s top shot-stoppers.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Lexi Mazzella (York / Sr., F / Bordentown, N.J.) led York to a pair of wins, including a 1-0 victory over Albright in the MAC opener. Earlier in the week, the senior notched her first career hat trick in a 4-0 win over Goucher, scoring in the 23rd, 52nd, and 55th minutes to power the Spartans’ highest-scoring performance of the season. She also recorded three shots in the conference-opening win against Albright. Mazzella leads York with 16 points on eight goals this fall, including two game-winners, converting eight of her 13 shots on goal.

Faith Leake (Eastern / Jr., GK / Philadelphia, Pa.) earned back-to-back shutouts, totaling 13 saves across two matches. She posted 10 saves in a 0-0 draw with No. 11 Misericordia and added three more in a 2-0 win over Hood to open conference play.

Avery Lane (DeSales / Jr., F / Allentown, Pa.) scored two goals in DeSales’ 6-0 win over Delaware Valley to open conference play. The junior now has five goals on the season.

Kenny Donley (Stevens / Sr., GK / Gig Harbor, Wash.) went 2-0 with consecutive shutouts and eight total saves. She made one stop in a 1-0 win over King’s, then recorded seven saves in a 2-0 victory over Penn State Harrisburg, extending her scoreless streak to 180 minutes.

MAC Commonwealth Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
Matias Contreras (Albright / Fy. / Santiago, Chile) improved to 4-0 in singles play with straight-set victories at No. 1 singles in both matches of the week. The first-year earned wins of 6-3, 6-2 against Arcadia and 6-2, 6-2 versus Gettysburg, helping Albright to a perfect 2-0 week.

Max-William Kanz (Stevens / Sr. / Wethersfield, CT) advanced to the Round of 16 at the ITA Regional Championships after a series of hard-fought matches. The senior outlasted opponents from Virginia Wesleyan and Randolph in three-set thrillers, prevailing 12-10 in a final-set tiebreaker to reach the Round of 16.

MAC Commonwealth Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Mary Brusstar (Eastern / So. / Bronx, N.Y.) dropped just two games in a straight-set (6-1, 6-1) win at No. 1 singles and added a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles to lead Eastern to its first win of the season at Penn State Abington.
MAC Freedom Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Megan Martin (Lebanon Valley / Jr. / Norristown, Pa.) led LVC in a narrow 4-3 loss at Gettysburg, earning straight-set wins in both singles (6-3, 6-3) and doubles (6-1). She was the first finisher on both courts, providing an early spark for the Dutchmen.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL (#MACvb)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Makenzie Adams (Messiah / So., OH / New Oxford, Pa.) totaled 26 kills, three aces, and 21 digs across two matches, hitting .285 for the week. She tallied a double-double with 15 kills and 14 digs in a five-set battle with Stevenson and followed with 11 kills on .304 hitting in a win over Mary Washington.

Elizabeth Barnes (Widener / Sr., Libero / Bethlehem, Pa.) anchored Widener’s defense with 107 digs and no ball-handling errors across four matches—all victories. She posted a season-high 37 digs in a 3-2 win over King’s and nearly matched it with 34 in a 3-1 win over Susquehanna.

Mattea Penner (Lebanon Valley / Sr., OH / Newville, Pa.) led LVC with 40 kills, four aces, 25 digs, and four blocks in a 1-1 week. She delivered a career-best 23 kills while hitting .429 in a five-set win over Eastern and added 17 kills and 10 digs in a narrow four-set loss to Stevens.

Kylie Campbell (DeSales / So., Libero / Chesterton, IN) averaged 4.21 digs per set, totaling 59 on the week as DeSales went 2-2. She tallied 20 digs against Dickinson and 16 more in a four-set conference win over King’s.
