Lebanon Valley men lead with 44 points; Widener women lead with 42 points

READING, Pa. (Indoor Track & Field) –
 The first day of the 2025 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships were completed Friday at Alvernia University’s The Flynn Plex. The men completed six events, while the women completed five events.

Lebanon Valley leads the men in the scoring with 44 points after day one. They are followed by Widener (36) and Misericordia (31). On the women’s side, Widener takes the early lead with 42 points, followed by Lebanon Valley (33) and King's (29.5).

MEN’S RESULTS
5,000-Meter Run
Lebanon Valley’s Joseph Chukoskie won gold with a time of 14:59.43. Messiah’s Louka Fetter won silver with a time of 15:08.35, and DeSales Joseph Wilson won bronze with a time of 15:17.70.
 
Distance Medley Relay (DMR)
Messiahs Kaleb Kabakjian, Adam Hostetler, Evan Sarkett, and John Condon won gold with a MAC Championship record time of 10:16.46. They broke the record previously set by Messiah in 2023. Lebanon Valley took silver with a time of 10:20.25, and Stevens won bronze with a time of 10:31.77.
 
4x200-Meter Relay
Misericordia’s Richard Billings, Dylan Blackwell, Jacob Hunter, and Joseph Vacchio won gold and broke a MAC record with a time of 1:29.74. Eastern won silver with a time of 1:30.71, and Arcadia won bronze with a time of 1:31.23.
 
Weight Throw
Widener’s Isaac Almoney won gold with a mark of 17.70 meters. York's Aidan Rollinson took silver with a mark of 16.99 meters, and Delaware Valley's John Mahana won bronze with a mark of 15.69 meters.
 
Long Jump
Misericordia’s Matthhieu Brunelle won gold with a jump of 7.09 meters. Widener’s Jacob Grossman won silver with a mark of 6.88 meters, and Messiah’s Zion Buck took bronze with a mark of 6.82 meters.
 
Pole Vault
Lebanon Valley’s Ayden Stankus won gold with a jump of 4.65 meters. York’s Brayden Ecker won silver with a jump of 4.55 meters, and York’s Brody Weachter took bronze with a jump of 4.30 meters.
 
Heptathlon (through four events)
Arcadia’s Jey Brown recorded 2,911 points after day one of the heptathlon. Messiah’s Ben Reichenbach is second with 2,615 points, and Steven’s Brandon Kiefer is third with 2,573 points.  
 
60-Meter Hurdles (prelims)
The top-eight from Friday’s preliminary races qualified for Saturday’s final, including: 1. Ian Hopkins, Eastern (8.28), Sam Estherson, DeSales (8.30), Owen McGuffy, Misericordia (8.36), Daniel Murtha (8.39), Ethan Stallone, Stevens (8.57), Joseph Perriello, Stevens (8.66), Daniel Franklin, Eastern (8.66), Redjee Nonez, Arcadia (8.69). 
 
60-Meter Dash (prelims)
The top-eight from Friday’s preliminary races qualified for Saturday’s final, including: 1. Ni’Male Greenwood, Eastern (6.85), who qualified with a MAC Championship record, beating out the previous record holder Derek Davis (2020) by 0.01 seconds. At 2. Richard Billings, Misericordia (6.86), 3. Colin Winters, Lebanon Valley (6.91), 4. James Ogorji, Eastern (6.96), 5. Jacob Mullery, King’s (7.05), 6. John Williams, Delaware Valley (7.05), 7. WOMEN’S RESULTS
5,000-Meter Run
Widener’s Gabriella Nye won gold with a time of 17:42.90. DeSales Ellie Kozich took silver with a time of 17:47.15, and Misericordia's Grace Gallagher won bronze with a time of 17:51.97.
 
Distance Medley Relay (DMR)
Misericordia's Grace Morningstar, Emily Krevey, Madison Kammer, and Brianna Wagner won gold with a time of 12:23.68. Eastern took silver with a time of 12:32.87, and Lebanon Valley won bronze with a time of 12:36.49.
 
4x200-Meter Relay
Widener’s Maria Muzzarelli, Erica Thomas, Alyssa Kolimaga, and Mariam Koita won gold and broke a MAC Championship record with a time of 1:44.94. Stevens took silver with a time of 1:47.52, and Lebanon Valley won bronze with a time of 1:47.74.
 
Weight Throw
Eastern’s Savana Dodd won gold with a mark of 16.30 meters. King’s Katelyn Shoemaker took silver with a mark of 15.85 meters, and King’s Brady Varner won bronze with a mark of 15.18 meters.

High Jump
Steven’s Caroline Tighe won gold with a jump of 1.61 meters. Lebanon Valley’s Anna Sawicki took silver with a jump of 1.61 meters, and King’s Madison Armitage took bronze with a jump of 1.58 meters.

Long Jump
Widener’s Kayla Robinson won gold with a distance of 5.58 meters. Arcadia’s Mia Fleming took silver with a mark of 5.27 meters, and Alvernia’s Mylina Castillo took bronze with a mark of 5.27 meters.
