Messiah Leads the MAC in the Division III LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup Standings

CLEVELAND (Conference News) – The final Division III LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup winter standings were released Thursday morning. A total of 10 institutions from the Middle Atlantic Conferences are ranked with both Messiah and Stevens placing in the top-100. 

Messiah leads all MAC institutions, sitting in 42nd place with a total of 254.00 points. The Falcons earned 45 points this winter, including 25 from women's basketball and 20 from men's wrestling. Their 45 winter points added to their 209 points from the fall. 

Stevens had the biggest boost among MAC schools this season, adding 81 points this winter, placing it in 56th place with 206.00 points. The Ducks, the highest ranked MAC Freedom institution, collected 25 points from women's basketball and 56 points from men's wrestling. They had 53 points in the fall. 

York (Pa.) earned 63.50 points this winter with 50 points in men’s basketball and 13.50 in men’s indoor track & field. When added to the Spartans 53 points from the fall, they have 116.50, placing them 105th.

Misericordia sits in 125th place with its 95.00 points from the fall, followed by Widener in 128th with 89.50 points. The Pride’s indoor track & field teams added 58.50 points to their school’s total with 31.5 coming from the women and 27 coming from the men.

Alvernia and Delaware Valley enter the LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup standings this winter, placing 150th and 168th, respectively. The Golden Wolves secured 70.50 points, while the Aggies claimed 58.00.

King’s ranked 179th with 50.00 points, followed by Lebanon Valley in 217th with 32.00 and Stevenson in 225th with 25.00. 

In Division III, Johns Hopkins sits in first place with a total of 865.00 total points.

The spring standings will be released on June 10.
