GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced the hiring of
Will Pilat as the new Head Men's Lacrosse Coach. Pilat will begin his duties on Monday, August 25th.
"I want to sincerely thank (Associate VP of Athletics)
Brian Granata, (Associate AD) Mike Hebenstreit, and the entire hiring committee entrusting me to lead the Arcadia Men's lacrosse program into its next chapter," Pilat explained. "I am honored by this opportunity and ecstatic to get started."
Pilat comes to Arcadia after serving as the head coach at Immaculata University for the past two seasons. Pilat also headed the staff named the AEC Coaching Staff of the Year.
"Coach Pilat has a deep understanding and appreciation for the values of Division III athletics from his time as a student-athlete and coach," Granata said. "He has a track record of success and helping to develop winning programs. We are excited to watch the program grow under his capable leadership."
Prior to his time at Immaculata, Pilat served as Associate Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and assistant goalie coach at Wesleyan University. While with the Cardinals, Pilat helped lead the team to the 2018 NCAA Division III National Championship and four NCAA Division III Championship Tournament appearances.
"I am incredibly excited to be named the next head men's lacrosse coach at Arcadia," Pilat continued. "This program has a strong foundation, and I look forward to building on that momentum with a relentless commitment to our student-athletes, both on and off the field."
Pilat graduated from Roanoke College in 2016 with a degree in Sports Management, where he was a four-year member of the men's lacrosse team and a two-time USILA All-American. Pilat earned a Master's in Liberal Studies from Wesleyan in 2018.
