NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending August 31, 2025. A total of 18 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Aug. 25, 2025 to Aug. 31, 2025.
CROSS COUNTRY (#MACxc)
MAC Men’s Runner of the Week
Brendan Blyth (Arcadia / Jr. / Whitehouse Station, N.J.) opened the 2025 season with a program-record performance at the Blue/Gold Invitational hosted by TCNJ. The junior placed eighth overall in the 5K with a personal-best time of 16:19.0, setting a new Arcadia standard in the event.
MAC Women’s Runner of the Week
Madison Hedglin (Misericordia / Fy. / Dallas, Pa.) made an immediate impact in her collegiate debut, winning the Misericordia Invitational with a course-record time of 14:25 in the 4K. She topped a field of 82 runners and helped the Cougars capture the team title.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Shae Bennett (Stevenson / Jr., M / Boiling Springs, Pa.) powered Stevenson to a season-opening 2-1 win over Washington College (Md.), scoring both goals in the Mustangs’ victory.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Jordan Vradenburgh (Stevenson / Jr., GK / Fairless Hills, Pa.) backstopped the Mustangs to a 2-0 start, allowing just one goal across two games. The junior made two key saves in the opener against Washington (Md.) and added another stop to preserve a 6-0 shutout of Sewanee.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Claire Weidenhammer (Lebanon Valley / Jr., F / Newport, Pa.) scored both goals, including the game-winner in the 54th minute, as Lebanon Valley edged Elizabethtown 2-1 in its opener. The junior forward marked her seventh career multi-goal game and eighth game-winning strike.
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Lauren Flynn (Stevens / Jr., D /Hillsborough, N.J.) anchored the Ducks’ back line in a 2-0 week, highlighted by a 2-1 victory over No. 10 York (Pa.) — the highest-ranked win in program history. The junior also added her second career goal in a 5-2 win over Widener, limiting the Pride to just 10 shots.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Martin Ramsay (Albright / Sr., F / Womelsdorf, Pa.) scored the game-winner in Albright’s 3-0 victory over Penn State Berks, marking the fourth straight year he has found the net in the Lions’ season opener.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Evan Solley (Alvernia / Gr., GK / Oley, Pa.) recorded nine saves across two matches, including seven in a season-opening 0-0 draw with Muhlenberg. He also turned aside a penalty kick in a 3-1 setback to Arcadia.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Logan Watkins (Arcadia / So., F / Palm, Pa.) netted three goals across two matches to help the Knights go 1-0-1. He scored twice in a 2-2 draw at Haverford before striking again just 71 seconds into a 3-1 home win over Alvernia.
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Victor Ciach (FDU-Florham/ So., GK / Ringwood, N.J.) racked up 19 saves on the weekend, including 13 against Drew. He followed with six more stops in a 3-1 victory over Kean.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Kamille Purcell (Stevenson / Sr., F / Edgewood, Pa.) delivered two goals and an assist in Stevenson’s 4-1 win over Rutgers-Camden, finishing with a five-point performance in the season opener.

Alexis Solt (Albright / Sr., GK / Sinking Spring, Pa.) recorded six saves to preserve a clean sheet in Albright’s 0-0 draw with Penn State Abington, marking the eighth time in her career she has made six or more saves in a game.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Sophia Murphy (Stevens / So., M / Pennington, N.J.) played a hand in two goals during Stevens’ 3-2 comeback win over Springfield on Sunday. She scored the equalizer early in the second half and later assisted on the game-winning strike.
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Camryn Porter (Lebanon Valley / So., GK / Dillsburg, Pa.) made three second-half saves to secure a 1-0 shutout over Moravian. The sophomore’s biggest stop came in the 78th minute to keep the game scoreless before LVC netted the decisive goal.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL (#MACvb)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Alexis Standford (Eastern / Jr., OH / Walkersville, Md.) totaled 32 kills, 31 digs, seven service aces, and a pair of blocks over three matches as Eastern opened the year 3-0. She recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 13 digs in a sweep of Rutgers-Camden.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Viviana Fragoso (Eastern / Sr., DS / La Mirada, C.A.) anchored Eastern’s back row with 40 digs (4.4 per set) in three wins at the DeSales Invitational. She added seven service aces, including four in the Eagles’ straight-set win over DeSales.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Ella Boland (Stevens / So., / McHenry, IL) tied for the team lead with 26 kills and added 11 blocks in a 2-1 opening weekend. She hit .550 with 11 kills and a career-best seven blocks in a sweep of regionally ranked Stockton.
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Maggie Duda (Misericordia / So., / Mineola, N.Y.) earned all-tournament honors at the Scranton Invitational, averaging 3.75 digs per set in a 2-1 weekend. She posted 25 digs in a five-set win over Scranton, the program’s first victory against the Royals.
