YORK, Pa. - York College Director of Athletic Communications Derek Behrenshausen is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Einsig '24M as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications.
"I am very excited to welcome Amanda back to YCP," said Behrenshausen. "Her experience, knowledge and enthusiasm for Spartan Athletics make her an outstanding fit for this position, as well as a strong addition to our institution as a whole."
Einsig comes to York after a two-year stint at Marywood University where she served as the Athletic Communications and Operations Specialist during which she provided game-day coverage that included press box coordination, statistical oversight, and editorial content. In her time with the Pacers, she also created engaging content for the Pacers' social media accounts, significantly expanding the reach and engagement for the university's 23 athletic teams.
Einsig was one of 30 individuals selected for the NCAA Division III Athletic Communicators Emerging Elite Program by the NCAA Division III Governance staff. This program is a professional development initiative hosted annually at the NCAA National Office in Indianapolis which is designed to elevate the next generation of athletic communication leaders in Division III.
A standout collegiate student-athlete, Einsig completed a five-year career for the Lock Haven and York softball programs from 2019-2023. While at York, she helped deliver a MAC Commonwealth title while being named the Commonwealth Championship MVP. She also earned All-MAC Commonwealth and NFHCA All-Region honors as a pitcher with the Green and White.
"Coming back to York feels like a full-circle moment for me. I am grateful for the chance to give back to a place that gave me so much," said Einsig. "Thank you to Derek Behrenshausen and the search committee for the opportunity to return and be part of this great institution."
Einsig holds a Bachelor and Master degree in sport management from Lock Haven, in addition to a Master degree in integrated marketing and communications from York.
