NEWTOWN, Pa. (Women's Golf) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its major awards for MAC women's golf on Wednesday afternoon. York's Victoria Jolakian was named the MAC Golfer of the Year and Callie Dias of Stevenson was named MAC Rookie of the Year. Hood's head coach Thomas Chatfield took home MAC Coach of the Year honors.
The awards are nominated and voted on by the 11 conference women's golf coaches.
York College’s
Victoria Jolakian has been named the
2026 MAC Women’s Golfer of the Year, headlining the conference’s annual postseason awards. Jolakian’s dominant campaign was defined by her ability to close out tournaments, a trait that culminated in an individual title at the
2026 MAC Championship.
Prior to the conference tournament, Jolakian maintained a stellar
79.38 scoring average, the benchmark for a season that included
three individual victories. Her championship performance served as the exclamation point on a year where she remained the most consistent force in the region.
Stevenson’s
Callie Dias has been named the
2026 MAC Rookie of the Year following a historic debut season. Entering the postseason as the
No. 1 ranked first-year in the MAC (and No. 6 overall) according to Clippd, Dias proved her mettle against veteran fields all year long.
Her first-year resume includes:
- Four Top-10 finishes and nine Top-20 finishes across 11 regular-season events.
- An 87.3 overall scoring average.
- A 10th-place finish at the MAC Championships, the lowest score among all first-year competitors in the field.
Hood College head coach
Thomas Chatfield was voted the
MAC Coach of the Year by his peers. Under Chatfield’s guidance, the Blazers emerged as a top-tier contender this spring. The award recognizes Chatfield’s leadership in navigating a competitive conference landscape, punctuated by a
third-place team finish at the MAC Championships.
