Lady Colonels Earn First Freedom Win Over Manhattanville 89-74

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes women's basketball team defeated Manhattanville Saturday afternoon from the Marts Center to earn their first victory in the Freedom Conference, 89-74.

 

Eagles Soar in Doylestown

DOYLESTOWN, Pa.-Eastern University Women's Basketball used a 26-8 stretch early in the second half to build a 20 point lead, and they held on for an 85-73 win at Delaware Valley College. Eastern (16-5, 7-3 Freedom) connected on over 58 percent of their shots from the field in the second half.

 

Sutton, Antonelli Lead Warriors Past Arcadia, 59-45

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Julia Antonelli (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) and freshman Kylee Sutton (Wysox, Pa./Towanda Area) combined for 33 points and the Lycoming College women’s basketball team used a 17-4 run in a 10-minute span between halves to post a 59-45 win over Arcadia University in Commonwealth Conference action on Saturday, Feb. 4, at Lamade Gym.
 

Defense Thrives as Bulldogs Ease Past Misericordia, 68-42

Center Valley, PA (February 4, 2012) – The DeSales University women's basketball team did everything right on the defensive end, and complimented that on the offensive end, breaking the team record for three-point percentage in a game, shooting 75.0 percent (9-for-12) in a 68-42 win over Misericordia University in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon in Billera Hall.

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. — On Senior Day, it was only fitting that the two seniors on the women's basketball team would make two big plays to close out a victory. Senior Stephanie Ellwood's layup with seven seconds remaing in the game put the Blue Jays up three and Senior Jayci Scannapieco blocked a possible three-point shot with a second remaining to give Elizabethtown the 65-62 win over Albright Saturday afternoon at Thompson Gymnasium.
