MAC Weekly Awards Announcement (April 29, 2025)

Five student-athletes were recognized for performances from April 22 - April 28.

NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending April 28, 2025. A total of five student-athletes were recognized for performances from April 22, 2025 to April 29, 2025.

MEN’S GOLF
MAC Freedom Golfer of the Week

Noah Eide (Stevens / So. / Ramsey, N.J.) took home first place with a 72 as Stevens claimed the Preakness Invitational with a 313 on Monday. The 72 marked a career-low for the sophomore as the Ducks bested Yeshiva and host William Paterson.

MEN’S TENNIS (#MACtennis)
MAC Commonwealth Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
Dylan Huha (Albright / Jr. / Pompton Lakes, N.J.) led the Lions to a 2-0 week and a return trip to the postseason. Huha went 2-0 himself this past week with wins over Eastern and Stevenson. Huha won 6-0, 6-1 in his first match of the week against Eastern and won 6-1, 6-3 in his second match of the week against Stevenson.

MAC Freedom Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
Max-William Kanz (Stevens / Jr. / Wethersfield, Conn.) went 2-0 at singles and 3-0 at doubles as Stevens went 3-0 on the week. He notched a three-set thriller to clinch the match 4-3 against No. 50 TCNJ, downing regionally-ranked No. 19 opponent 5-7, 6-2, 7-5 at No. 1 singles. He then took down King’s No. 1 6-2, 6-2 as Stevens topped the Monarchs, 7-0. Kanz teamed with Olof Persson at No. 1 doubles to top regionally-ranked No. 7 team 6-4 against TCNJ. He partnered with Samvid Andhare to win 6-0 at No. 2 doubles and then took down King's at No. 1 doubles 6-1 with Persson.

WOMEN’S TENNIS (#MACtennis)
MAC Commonwealth Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Bri Serruto (York / Jr. / Stewartstown, Pa.) led York to three MAC Commonwealth wins for the week as the Spartans secured the No. 3 seed in the league tournament. On Wednesday, Serruto picked up a pair of wins in the Spartan victory over Stevenson. Serruto earned a 6-3 No. 1 doubles win as the Spartans went on to earn the doubles point. She then downed the Mustangs’ No. 1, 6-3, 6-2 to get the Green and White started on the right foot in singles play. On Saturday at Hood, Serruto and her teammate rolled to a 6-0 No. 1 doubles win over the Blazers. Serruto posted a 6-4, 6-4 first singles win in the Spartans 7-0 team victory. Serruto closed out the regular season with another two wins. She notched a 6-1 No. 1 doubles win and then cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 No. 1 singles win for the Spartans.

MAC Freedom Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Katie Berra (Lebanon Valley / Fy. / Harrisburg, Pa.) enters the postseason on a nine-match winning streak in singles play after leading the Dutchmen to three wins this week and a combined 5-0 record. Berra began the week with the first double bagel of her career in a 6-0, 6-0 victory at DeSales at No. 4 singles after winning 6-0 at No. 2 doubles in a 7-0 victory. She then won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and 6-1 at No. 1 doubles in a 7-0 victory at King's. The first-year finished the week with a big 7-5, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles in a big 5-2 victory over Misericordia to clinch the second seed in the conference tournament. Berra was the match-clinching point against the Cougars.
