York Captures Fourth MAC Commonwealth Men's Golf Championship

Zachary Wilcox of Stevenson takes first place

FLEETWOOD, Pa. (Men's Golf) – The York Spartans captured its fourth MAC Commonwealth Men's Golf Championship at Golden Oaks Golf Club. Zachary Wilcox of Stevenson claimed individual champion honors.
 
York recorded a two-day score of 603 (+27) to edge out Stevenson (605) by two strokes.

Day one of the tournament was suspended due to course conditions and was resumed Sunday morning.

Wilcox shot a 71 on day one and a 73 on day two for a total score of 144 to finish even.

Joining Wilcox on the All-MAC Commonwealth First Team (1st-5th) were: teammate Ryan Thomas (147), Adam Gorman of York (147), Griffin Cansler of Hood (150), and Nate Myers of York (150). 

Earning a spot on the All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team (6th-10th) were: York's Jacob Fripp (152), Mac Arida of Hood (153), Albright's Jonaton Liljeblad (154), Luke Sabina of York (154), and tied for tenth were Jacob Wagner of Eastern and Leo Perez of Stevenson with a score of 157.

Major award winners will be announced this week.
