NEWTOWN, Pa. (Men's Golf) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its major awards for MAC Freedom men's golf on Wednesday afternoon. Stevens' Jack Harris was named the MAC Freedom Golfer of the Year and MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year. Stevens' head coach Charles Papendick took home MAC Freedom Coach of the Year honors.
The awards are nominated and voted on by the eight conference men's golf coaches.
Stevens’ Jack Harris has been named both the 2026 MAC Freedom Golfer of the Year and Rookie of the Year, The first-year sensation anchored the Ducks’ lineup all season, punctuated by his performance at the 2026 MAC Freedom Championship. Harris claimed the individual title in emphatic fashion, carding a
5-under-par over the two-day tournament to lead the field.
Harris’s debut collegiate campaign was defined by consistency and elite scoring. Competing exclusively in tournament play with no dual matches, he maintained a
76.14 scoring average over 21 competitive rounds. His resume includes:
- Two Individual Victories in highly competitive regional fields.
- Three Top-5 finishes and six Top-15 finishes.
- Three-time MAC Freedom Golfer of the Week selections.
Stevens head coach Charles Papendick was voted the MAC Freedom Coach of the Year, further cementing his legacy within the conference. Under Papendick’s leadership, the Ducks have evolved into a perennial powerhouse. The 2026 season marks a significant milestone for the program, as Papendick has now guided Stevens to six consecutive conference titles. Mirroring his team’s success, this also marks Papendick’s sixth straight Coach of the Year honor, a testament to his sustained excellence and the program's championship culture.
