Dear York College Community, Alumni and Friends,

With a blend of sadness and gratitude for his legacy, we invite you to celebrate the life of our dear friend and former colleague, Scott Guise. Scott passed away in December after a courageous battle with cancer, leaving behind an indelible mark on our campus.

For 30 years, Scott served as our Director of Athletic Communications. His passion, dedication, and immeasurable impact on Spartan Athletics shaped the lives of thousands of student-athletes, coaches, and colleagues. He was, and always will be, a true Spartan at heart.

Please join us as we gather to honor his memory, share stories, and celebrate a life well lived.

Celebration of Life Details

• Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026
• Time: Beginning at 12:00 p.m. 
• Location: Wolf Gym, Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center 
• Who: This event is open to everyone: colleagues, alumni, students, and friends are all welcome to attend.

Honorary Weekend Events: The Celebration of Life will take place the day after a golf tournament and a fundraiser in Scott's honor. A scholarship has also been established to support the sports legacy he built at York College.

Let's come together to give Scott the send-off and recognition he deserves. We hope to see you there to remember a remarkable man who gave so much to York College.
