NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending September 6, 2026. A total of 24 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Sept. 1, 2026 to Sept. 6, 2026.
CROSS COUNTRY (#MACxc)
MAC Men’s Runner of the Week
Joey Wilson (DeSales / Sr. / Staten Island, N.Y.) paced DeSales with a 15th-place finish at the Lehigh Invitational, clocking a 6K time of 19:02.8 to earn top Division III honors in a field stacked with Division I competition.
MAC Women’s Runner of the Week
Madison Hedglin (Misericordia / So. / Dallas, Pa.) crossed the line in 14:46 to win the Misericordia University Invitational 4K by 19 seconds, topping a 44-runner field.
FIELD HOCKEY (#MACfh)
MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Ava Michael (Alvernia / Sr., F / Bloomsburg, Pa.) scored two goals and added an assist during a 1-1 week for the Golden Wolves. She netted the tying goal in the final eight minutes of a 2-1 overtime loss to Gettysburg, then delivered the game-winner and an assist in a 2-0 win over Susquehanna, finishing the week four-for-five on cage.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Addie Musser (Messiah / So., Defense / Denver, Pa.) anchored a Messiah defense that knocked off two top-10 opponents at home. The Falcons limited No. 9 Dickinson to just five shots (to Messiah's 19) in a 3-2 overtime win, and Musser made a goal-line save in the final five minutes to preserve a 1-0 victory over No. 2 Johns Hopkins.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Claire Weidenhammer (Lebanon Valley / Sr., F / Newport, Pa.) piled up seven points on three goals and an assist in a 6-0 win over Simmons, Lebanon Valley's lone complete game of the week. Her third goal was the 100th point of her career and her fourth career hat trick, and the win gave first-year head coach Sophie Popp her first career victory.
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Lauren Flynn (Stevens / Sr., M /Hillsborough, N.J.) recorded five defensive saves and scored twice as No. 12 Stevens opened 3-0. She matched a school record with three defensive saves and scored in a 4-3 win over York (Pa.), then added two more saves and the fourth-quarter game-winner in a 2-1 comeback over No. 14 Rowan.
FOOTBALL (#MACfb)
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Jacob Hunter (Misericordia / Sr., QB / Wilkes-Barre, Pa.) accounted for 281 yards of total offense and four touchdowns in a 42-14 season opener win over Hartwick, going 18-of-27 passing for 207 yards and two scores through the air while adding 74 yards and two more touchdowns on the ground.
MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Ethan Marshall (Stevenson / Jr., LB / Springfield, Pa.) posted a team-high nine tackles, including seven solo, to lead Stevenson's 17-0 shutout of Bridgewater (Va.). He added 2.0 tackles for loss, a team-high 1.0 sack, and a forced fumble in Stevenson's first shutout win since 2023.
MAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Mohammad Butt (Stevenson / Fy., K / Towson, Md.) controlled the field-position battle in Stevenson's 17-0 win over Bridgewater (Va.), booting a career-long 28-yard field goal, averaging 33.0 yards on five punts (long of 41), and adding four kickoffs for a 62.0-yard average.

MAC Commonwealth Golfer of the Week
Andrew Kowalinski (Albright / Fy. / Lancaster, Pa.) delivered an incredible debut as a first-year student-athlete, winning the Dickinson Invitational outright. He opened Sunday with a 5-under round to sit second heading into the final day, then closed Monday with a 3-under round to climb into first place, finishing the weekend with a two-round total of 136.
MAC Freedom Golfer of the Week
Brody Rafferty (Lebanon Valley / So. / Camp Hill, Pa.) averaged 77.6 over three rounds to open the season for the Dutchmen. He opened with a 77 at the Northampton Cup, carding a 38-39 with eight pars and three birdies. He then posted a 156 (76-80) over 36 holes at the Dickinson Fall Invitational, tallying 18 pars and five birdies along the way.
WOMEN’S GOLF (#MACgolf)
MAC Golfer of the Week
Ava Johnsen (York / Jr. / Mount Prospect, Ill.) led York at the competitive Lynn Schweizer Invitational, hosted by Denison University at Denison Golf Club, finishing 21st overall out of a deep field with a two-round total of 161 (+16). She posted a team-high two birdies on the week and carded the low round of the weekend for York with a 75 in round one.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Aidan Wright (Hood / Gr., F / Ijamsville, Md.) scored the game-winning goal in each of Hood's two victories this week. He struck in the 71st minute to beat St. Mary's (Md.) and converted a penalty kick in the 59th minute to lift the Blazers past Hartwick.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Jake Bono (York / Sr., GK / Marlboro, N.J.) started all three games and went 3-0-0 in goal for York, logging 225 minutes with 15 saves and a clean sheet. He made five saves in a 1-0 win over No. 6 Dickinson.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Gavin Rapp (Lebanon Valley / So., F / Wernersville, Pa.) posted a five-point week on two goals and an assist to lead Lebanon Valley to a 2-0 start. He scored the tying goal in a 3-1 win over Alvernia, then had a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win at Lancaster Bible.

Nick Becker (Delaware Valley / Jr., GK / Myerstown, Pa.) recorded back-to-back shutouts in Delaware Valley's season-opening week, making 11 saves over 160 minutes. He stopped eight shots in a 0-0 draw with Eastern before adding three more in a 1-0 win over Albright.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Meg Kalthof (York / Sr., F / Bel Air, Md.) led York in points (5) and goals (2), producing in all three games of an unbeaten week. She assisted in the opener against McDaniel before scoring against Lancaster Bible and Stockton, closing in on 40 career goals and 100 career points.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Olivia Reinhart (Albright / Fy., GK / Schnecksville, Pa.) went 2-0-1 in goal for Albright, posting 12 saves on an 80% save rate with a 1.00 goals-against average, including a shutout of Penn State Schuylkill.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Sadie Nugent (Arcadia / So., F / Pembroke, Ma.) scored three goals and added two assists in a 7-0 win over Alvernia, her second career hat trick, then added four shots in a scoreless draw with Haverford as Arcadia went 1-0-1.

Marisa Patrissi (Misericordia / Fy., GK / Garden City, N.Y.) posted shutouts in each of her first two collegiate starts, making four saves in a 0-0 draw at Gettysburg and two more in a 3-0 win over Wilkes.

MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Sydney Wolfe (Messiah / So., RS / Jasper, Ga.) earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Gettysburg Battlefield Classic, hitting .330 with 45 kills, nine blocks, and 16 digs to lead Messiah to a 3-1 week. She recorded double-digit kills in three straight matches.
MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Sami Baer (York / So., Libero / Reading, Pa.) racked up 88 digs across three matches, averaging 7.33 per set with a .947 receive percentage. She opened with 32 digs against Dickinson and followed with back-to-back 28-dig efforts against Elizabethtown and Ursinus.
MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week
Allison Reimer (DeSales / Jr., OH / Schnecksville, Pa.) hit .400 with 35 kills to lead DeSales to a 4-0 week, adding 28 digs and seven aces. She hit above .400 in three of her four matches.
MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week
Kylie Campbell (DeSales / Jr., Libero / Chesterton, IN) totaled 57 digs (4.75 per set) with double-digit digs in all four matches as DeSales opened 4-0, adding 17 assists and four service aces along the way.
