DALLAS Pa. (Women’s Cross Country) – The Misericordia Cougars captures their sixth Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) women’s title on Saturday at Letterkenny Field. The Pride's junior Gabriella Nye won to give Widener their second individual title at the women’s championship.

Misericordia claimed the title with 43 points. Widener finished in second place with 57 points, and Lebanon Valley took third with 103 points. DeSales finished in fourth-place with 108 points, and Messiah rounded out the top-five with 142 points.

Nye won the 6K race in a time of 23:51.6. Misericordia's Grace Gallagher took second with a time of 24:01.0, Messiah's Katie Anthony finished third with a time of 24:03.8, Misericordia's Brianna Wagner took fourth with a time of 24:05.4, and Lebanon Valley's Coyla Bartholomew rounded out the top-five with a time of 24:13.9. 

Nye was awarded the 2023 MAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Year award for her individual title.
 
The 2023 MAC Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Year was awarded to Messiah's first year Madison Kimmel who finished 14th.
 
Misericordia head coach Chris Wadas was named the 2023 MAC Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year.
