READING, Pa. (Women’s Indoor Track & Field) –
The Widener Pride won their second Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Women’s Indoor Track & Field Title on Saturday. The Cougars collected 147 points to defeat second-place Stevens (113.5) by 33.5 points.
 
Widener head coach Logan Stroman was named the MAC Coach of the Year.
 
Widener assistant coach Chuck Butz was named the MAC Assistant Coach of the Year.
 
Stevens’ Laura Mathews was named MAC Track Athlete of the Year.
 
York’s Julia Pena was named MAC Field Athlete of the Year.
 
Widener’s Jayla Gore was named the MAC Rookie of the Year.

60-Meter Dash
Widener’s Maria Muzzarelli won gold with a time of 7.68 seconds, just shy of the MAC record time of 7.63 seconds set in 2017. Widener’s Jayla Gore took silver with a time of 7.87 seconds, and Stevens’ Laura Mathews won bronze with a time of 7.96 seconds.
 
60-Meter Hurdles
Stevens’ Laura Mathews won gold for a third-straight year in the 60-meter hurdles. Mathews broke her MAC Championship time for a second time in the event with a time of 8.60 seconds to tie her overall MAC record. She had run 8.72 seconds in the prelims to break her previous championship record time of 8.79 seconds. York’s Julia Pena won silver with a time of 8.73 seconds, and Kristen Williams won bronze with a time of 9.32 seconds.
 
200-Meter Dash
Stevens Laura Mathews won gold with time of 25.46 seconds, just missing the MAC Championship record time of 25.43 seconds set in 2016. Widener’s Maria Muzzarelli took silver with a time of 26.26 seconds, and Jayla Gore won bronze with a time of 26.49 seconds.
 
400-Meter Dash
Stevens Laura Mathews won gold with a time of 59.14 seconds. Widener’s Kelly Barr took silver with a time of 59.65 seconds, and DeSales’ Abigail Radcliffe won bronze with a time of 1:00.59.
 
800-Meter Run
Widener’s Donna Holt won gold with a time of 2:22.55. Stevens’ Nina Burden took silver with a time of 2:23.48, and Arcadia’s Micah Gordley won bronze with time of 2:24.43.
 
Mile Run
Widener’s Gabriella Nye won gold with a time of 5:06.70. Lebanon Valley’s Lauren Bunke took silver with a time of 5:07.20, and DeSales’ Amelia Smith won bronze with a time of 5:08.69.
 
3,000-Meter Run
Stevenson’s Isabelle Pardew won gold with a time of 10:21.71. Widener’s Gabriella Nye took silver with a time of 10:25.35, and DeSales’ Amelia Smith won bronze with a time of 10:27.63.
 
4x400-Meter Relay
Messiah’s Elena Vargas, Halle Jennett, Emma Graybill and Kerrigan Lebo won gold with a time of 4:08.85. Widener took silver with a time of 4:09.96, and Misericordia won bronze with a time of 4:14.23.
 
4x800-Meter Relay
Widener’s Jaden Sweely, Gabriella Nye, Carly Gable and Donna Holt won gold with a time of 9:53.08. Stevens took silver with a time of 10:01.87, and Lebanon Valley won bronze with a time of 10:05.43.
 
Pole Vault
York’s Julia Pena won gold with a mark of 3.50 meters. Widener’s Savannah Steger took silver with a mark of 3.40 meters, and Eastern’s Aliza White-Vega took bronze with a mark of 3.30 meters.
 
High Jump
Misericordia’s Casey Allen won gold with a jump of 1.62 meters. Lebanon Valley’s Melena Koutch won silver with a mark of 1.62 meters, and Stevens’ Caroline Tighe took bronze with a mark of 1.59 meters.
 
Triple Jump
Alvernia’s Shinelle Felix won gold with a jump of 11.80 meters. Alvernia’s Mylina Castillo took silver with a mark of 11.49 meters, and Misericordia’s Sarah Wagner won bronze with a mark of 11.18 meters.
 
Shot Put
Misericordia’s Brenna Karnish won gold with a mark of 13.07 meters. Stevens’ AnaMaria Laccetti took silver with a mark of 12.63 meters, and King’s Brandy Varner won bronze with a mark of 11.65 meters.
 
Pentathlon
Stevens’ Liana Meyer won gold with 2,877 points. King’s Victoria Zultevicz won silver with 2,711 points, and Widener’s Sydni Bell won bronze with 2,634 points.
