MAC Weekly Awards Announcement (January 20, 2026)

NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending January 18, 2026. A total of 17 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Jan. 12, 2026 to Jan. 18, 2026.

MEN’S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops) 
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week 
Qadir Mitchell (Albright / Sr., Guard / Bronx, N.Y.) led Albright to a 2-0 week with conference wins over Messiah and Alvernia, averaging 28.5 points per game. He opened the week with 24 points against the Falcons before pouring in 33 points versus Alvernia for his third 30-point outing of the season. Mitchell shot 59.1 percent from the field, including 7-of-11 from three-point range, and added 4.0 rebounds per game while converting 12-of-14 free throws.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week 
Jamison Lynam (Arcadia / So., Guard / Lorton, Va.) powered Arcadia to a pair of conference victories with a standout week, totaling 49 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and five steals. He shot 59 percent from the floor and an impressive 79 percent from beyond the arc, knocking down 11 three-pointers. Lynam also went 6-for-8 at the free-throw line and continues to rank among the conference leaders in scoring, shooting efficiency, assists, and steals.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops) 
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week 
Anaya Price (Stevenson / So., Guard / Newark, Del.) averaged 20.0 points per game in conference matchups against Hood and Eastern. She opened the week with 12 points, five rebounds, and multiple defensive contributions against Hood before breaking out with a 28-point performance versus Eastern. Price shot 10-of-19 from the field, including 4-of-8 from three-point range, while adding steals in both contests.

MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Alexis Wright (Delaware Valley / Sr., Forward / Berne, N.Y.) guided the Aggies to its first two conference wins of the season with back-to-back dominant performances. She recorded 25 points and 15 rebounds against FDU-Florham, then followed with 23 points and a season-high 19 rebounds versus King’s. The senior forward logged her fourth and fifth double-doubles of the season and continues to rank among the MAC Freedom leaders in scoring and rebounding.

MEN’S ICE HOCKEY (#MAChky)
MAC Ice Hockey Offensive Player of the Week
Anthony Piccininno (Alvernia / Fy., F / Toronto, Ontario) totaled five points to help Alvernia sweep Arcadia over the weekend. He recorded a hat trick in a 3-0 shutout victory on Friday night, marking the sixth hat trick in program history. The first-year forward followed with two assists on Sunday as the Golden Wolves scored three third-period goals to secure a 3-2 win.

MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week
Christian Green (Neumann / Fy., Goalie / Boothwyn, Pa.) went 2-0 in net as Neumann earned a road sweep at Wilkes. The first-year goalie made 32 saves in a 2-1 victory on Friday before stopping 23 shots in a 3-2 win on Saturday. Green finished the weekend with a .948 save percentage and a 1.50 goals-against average.

WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY (#MAChky)
MAC Ice Hockey Offensive Player of the Week
Nina Hudakova (Wilkes / So., F / Košice, Slovakia) continued her impressive season with a dominant weekend series against Neumann. The sophomore forward recorded three goals and one assist in Friday’s 6-0 win, then added a goal and an assist in Saturday’s 7-0 victory, helping the Colonels complete the sweep.

MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week
Kamryn Sohner (Hood / So., Goalie / Hilliard, Ohio) backstopped Hood to a weekend sweep of host Hilbert. She made 26 saves in a 4-0 shutout on Friday and helped the Blazers withstand a heavy power-play attack in Saturday’s 4-3 win, holding strong in the final minutes of regulation to force overtime.

MEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf) 
MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Rory Lieberman (Lebanon Valley / Jr. / Danville, Pa.) captured the 3,000 meters at Moravian’s Blue & Grey Invitational in his indoor season debut, posting a MAC-leading time of 8:37.72. His performance qualified him for the AARTFC Championships and ranks among the top marks nationally and regionally this season. Lieberman won the race by three seconds in a field of 23.

MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Matayo McGraw (Widener / Jr.) delivered a record-breaking performance at Alvernia’s Winter Invitational, winning the triple jump with a mark of 15.32 meters. The jump broke Widener’s 52-year-old program record and now stands as the top mark in Division III this season.

WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD (#MACtf) 
MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Ava Matter (Lebanon Valley / So. / Elizabethville, Pa.) won the 200 meters at Moravian’s Blue & Grey Invitational with a time of 26.59 seconds, topping the field by nearly a full second. Her performance is the fastest 200-meter time recorded in the MAC this season.

MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Mia Fleming (Widener / Jr. / Plymouth Meeting, Pa.)  claimed the top spot in the triple jump at Alvernia’s Winter Invitational with a mark of 11.11 meters. The performance ranks 22nd nationally and stands as the conference’s top mark this season.

SWIMMING (#MACswim)
MAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week 
Matthew Drake (Arcadia / Jr. / Mohnton, Pa.) recorded three individual wins in Arcadia’s home victory over Widener, finishing first in the 100 breaststroke, 100 butterfly, and 100 freestyle. He also anchored the winning 800-yard freestyle relay.

MAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week 
Mikayla Scardino (Arcadia / Sr. / Souderton, Pa.) led Arcadia with three individual victories and helped the Knights capture the 800-yard freestyle relay in a home win over Widener. She won the 100 backstroke, 50 freestyle, and 100 freestyle while serving as the relay’s leadoff swimmer.

MEN’S VOLLEYBALL (#MACvb)
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Alex Olcott (Stevens / Jr., OH / Los Gatos, Calif.) hit .550 with 12 kills in Stevens’ straight-set win over St. Joseph’s–Long Island. He added five digs and two blocks in the victory.

MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Greg Li (Stevens / So., MB / San Jose, Calif.) anchored the net in Stevens’ 3-0 win over Drew, recording six blocks while also contributing three kills and two digs.

WRESTLING (#MACwrestle)
MAC Women’s Wrestler of the Week 
Eve Kurtz (Arcadia / Fy. / Pine Grove, Pa.) captured the 160-pound title at the Will Abele Invitational, going a perfect 5-0 on the day. The first-year wrestler earned multiple bonus-point victories and capped the tournament with a decision win in the championship bout.
