NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending January 4, 2026. A total of 10 student-athletes were recognized for performances from Dec. 15, 2025 to Jan. 4, 2026.
MEN’S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Jayden Rowe (York / Sr., Guard / Downingtown, Pa.) led No. 19 York to a 3–1 record over the holiday stretch, pacing the Spartans in scoring (24.3 ppg), rebounding (7.8 rpg), and blocked shots (1.0 bpg). He scored the game-winning layup in the closing seconds of a 70-68 win over Nazareth, finishing with 30 points. Rowe was the lone Spartan in double figures with 25 points in a 56-54 road win at Penn State Harrisburg and averaged 14.3 points per game in the second half across York’s last four contests. His play helped York close non-conference action at 10-1, the program’s best non-league record in eight years.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Jayden Thomas (DeSales / So., Guard / Allentown, Pa.) delivered a complete performance over three holiday games, averaging 22.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per contest. He scored 28 points against Cairn, followed with 17 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists in a one-point loss to Baruch. Thomas capped the stretch by recording just the second triple-double in program history with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists in a win over Gwynedd Mercy. He also tied the DeSales single-game record with 17 made free throws in the victory.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Jennah DeGout (Alvernia / 5th., Forward / Bronx, N.Y.) averaged a double-double to guide Alvernia to a 2-1 mark over the holiday break. The fifth-year forward posted 16.7 points and 11.0 rebounds per game while shooting 61 percent from the field in just 24 minutes per contest. She opened the stretch with 10 points and nine rebounds against Lebanon Valley, followed by an 18-point, 15-rebound effort in a win over Lehman. DeGout closed the week with a game-high 22 points on 69 percent shooting in a 66–65 victory over Swarthmore.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Delaney Bell (Arcadia / Sr., Guard / Bensalem, Pa.) fueled Arcadia to a 3–0 week with dominant all-around performances. She recorded 19 points, 10 rebounds, five steals, and three assists in a road win at No. 22 Elizabethtown, then followed with 25 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, and two blocks against Randolph-Macon. Bell added nine rebounds and three assists in a road win at Stevenson. With her rebounding efforts, Bell became Arcadia’s all-time leader with 825 career rebounds and currently ranks among the MAC leaders in scoring, rebounding, assists, field-goal percentage, free-throw percentage, and blocked shots.
MEN’S ICE HOCKEY (#MAChky)
MAC Ice Hockey Offensive Player of the Week
Bryce Battaglia (Arcadia / Jr., F / Gretna, NE) scored one goal in each game of Arcadia’s weekend series against St. John Fisher, totaling two goals. The junior leads the Knights with five goals on the season and ranks third on the team in total points.
MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week
Hayden Williamson (Arcadia / Jr., Goalie / Oakville, Ontario) turned in a season-best performance with 49 saves in a 3-2 victory over St. John Fisher. The junior allowed just two goals while holding the Cardinals scoreless on all four power-play opportunities.
WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY (#MAChky)
MAC Ice Hockey Offensive Player of the Week
Sofie Ancona (Hood / So., F / Grosse Point Farms, MI) continued her strong offensive pace with three goals and two assists as Hood swept Framingham State. She scored twice in the series opener, including the game-winning goal just 12 seconds into overtime for a 4-3 victory. In game two, Ancona broke open a tie with a solo effort and added an assist in a 5-1 win.
MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week
Audrey Milne (Wilkes / Jr., Goalie / London, Ontario) anchored Wilkes at the Utica University Kick-Off Tournament, totaling 71 saves across two games. She made 31 stops in a 3-1 semifinal win over Utica before recording a career-high 40 saves in a 4-4 draw against SUNY Cortland in the championship game.

MAC Men’s Wrestler of the Week
Hobe Givens (Arcadia / Fy. / Frankford, Delaware) delivered a dominant holiday stretch, going 3-0 at the Chocolate Duals with two falls and a technical fall. He followed by capturing the 125-pound title at the Jeff Breese Invitational, earning two falls—including pins in both the semifinal and championship bouts—to secure first place.
MAC Women’s Wrestler of the Week
Maura White (York / Jr. / Wharton, N.J.) went 2–0 with two falls to lead York to dual-meet victories over Bethany and Muhlenberg. The junior scored 10 team points on the day and now holds a 4-1 dual-match record this season, with three wins coming by fall.
