Lebanon Valley leads MAC Commonwealth by three strokes; Manhattanville leads MAC Freedom by nine strokes

WHITE HAVEN, Pa. (Men’s Golf) – The first day of the 2019 MAC Commonwealth and MAC Freedom Men’s Golf Championships are in the books. Lebanon Valley has a three-stroke lead on the MAC Commonwealth Mountain Laurel Golf Club.
Alvernia’s Kyung Chung finished day one with a 73 (+1) for a four stroke lead in the individual standings of the MAC Commonwealth Championship.
Eastern’s Nicky Marrollo finished the first day with a 75 (+3) for a one-stroke lead in the individual standings of the MAC Freedom Championship.
MAC COMMONWEALTH
Lebanon Valley recorded a day-one score of 313 (+25) to lead Stevenson (316) by three strokes. Arcadia finished six strokes off of LVC with a score of 319 on Saturday. Alvernia sits in fourth with a score of 326, and Hood rounded out the top five with a score of 333. Albright (340) and Widener (342) also finished with a team score.
Chung leads the standings by four strokes over four golfers tied at 77 (+5), including Arcadia’s Chris D’Alessandro, Alvernia’s Luke Fagley, Stevenson’s Josh Maisel and Lebanon Valley’s Thomas Moran.
MAC FREEDOM
Manhattanville recorded a score of 315 (+27) to lead Eastern (324) by nine strokes. FDU-Florham finished 10 strokes off the lead with a score of 325. King’s sits in fourth with a score of 327, and DeSales rounded out the top-five with a score of 339. Wilkes (346), Misericordia (363) and Delaware Valley (364) finished with a team score.
Marrollo leads Wilkes’ Andrew Finke (76) by one stroke. Manhattanville’s Rob Andrews and FDU-Florham’s Thomas Cashin sit tied for third with a score of 77. Manhattanville’s Chris Collins and King’s Alex Rowan are tied for fifth with score of 78.
Day two of both championships will tee off at 12:30 p.m. The MAC Freedom will tee off from hole one, while the MAC Commonwealth will tee off from hole 10.
