ANNVILLE, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for golf and tennis for the week ending Sept. 20, 2021. A total of seven student-athletes were recognized for performances from Sept. 14-20, 2021.
GOLF (#MACgolf)
MAC Commonwealth Men’s Golfer of the Week
Sam Driscoll (Hood / Sr. / Woodsboro, Md.) came within one stroke of the school record, shooting a 72 to tie for fourth at the Dickinson Fall Invitational. The event was played at the par-71, 7,061-yard Hershey Country Club East Course. It was the highest finish for a MAC Commonwealth golfer among the four teams in the event.
MAC Freedom Men’s Golfer of the Week
Ryan O’Neill (Arcadia / Sr. / Lansdale, Pa.) opened the fall season with two scores of 75 and 76. The senior shot a 75 to place fifth at the Anton Memorial Invitational, and then shot a 76 at the Dickinson Invitational.
MAC Women’s Golfer of the Week
Casey Oppenheimer (Stevenson / Sr. / Conshohocken, Pa.) earns her second weekly award of the season. Oppenheimer won the McDaniel Fall Invitational at The Bridges Golf Club for the second time in her career. She shot a four-over 76 to help the Mustangs win the team title by 26 shots over Gettysburg. It is the seventh career event win for Oppenheimer.

MAC Commonwealth Men’s Player of the Week
Justin Schuetz (Lebanon Valley / Sr. / Reading, Pa.) led the Dutchmen to a 7-2 win over DeSales in a dual match to begin last week. He teamed with Adam Warren to defeat DeSales’ No. 1 doubles duo, 8-6. Schuetz then defeated Augie Citrone, 3-6, 7-6, 10-6, at No. 1 Singles. At the MAC Men’s Tennis Individual Championship, Schuetz teamed with Warren in the No. 1 doubles bracket and advanced to the championship match against Stevens. They defeated Wilkes (8-6), Alvernia (8-5) and FDU-Florham (8-6) en route to the title match.
MAC Freedom Men’s Player of the Week
Vivek Harinarayan (Stevens / Fy. / Forest Hill, Md.) captured gold at No. 1 singles at the MAC Individual Championship. Harinarayn did not drop a point in his opening-round victory before reaching the semifinals with a 4-3 (7-1), 4-1 victory over York’s Tej Laliwala. Harinarayan posted a 6-3, 6-0 win in the semifinals, before defeating second-seeded Cole Gibson in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, to win.
MAC Commonwealth Women’s Player of the Week
Morrissey Walsh (York / Jr. / Audubon, N.J.) won both of her matches in a dual match against Rutgers-Camden. Walsh teamed with Brianna Rohrer to post an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles. The junior then won No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-2.
MAC Freedom Women’s Player of the Week
Karolina Iordache (Arcadia / Fy. / Princeton, N.J.) earned two points for the Knights against Cairn. She teamed with Julia Paraboschi to win No. 1 doubles by a score of 8-4. Iordache then won No. 2 singles by a score of 8-4.
